Game Description
Do not wake up from the dreams, go deepest into your dreams and be the best dreamer.

How does your game tie into the theme?
My game is about going deeper through dreams before waking up, there are also nightmares. The whole vibe is trying to make you feel like you're dreaming and it's absurd.

Beautiful chaos, the music fits the game very well, it runs well on my Macbook Air.

Developer

Thanks ^^ Did you do any specific command to run my game?

Submitted

nope, just Ctrl-Click on the app (otherwise MacOS X will block the execution because it is an unsigned application)

Developer

Okay, thanks ^^

Chaotic like all my dreams. You don't really know what you're doing but that's what makes it fun!

Developer

Haha, thanks!

OH sorry!! I replied in french. FIXED

Developer

No problem, I understand french :) Thanks for fixing that though, for everyone ^^

Developer

Quick comment if you can't run my game, because there seems to have some issues:

"If you can not run the game, there are 2 things to check:

-Your GPU support Vulkan and your GPU drivers are up-to-date

-You have a .NET 6.0 Runtime environment at least (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/6.0).

Also if you are using MacOS, you can run this command:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "MayTheDreamLast.app" "

could not get the windows exe to run, just brought up a blue screen and then closed 10 seconds later...

Developer

Okay, this is weird, it has been the second time someone report that. Does your computer support Vulkan ? (if you can give me a reference for your graphics card it would be the same) What version of Windows are you using?

Try updating your graphics card driver in a first time.

Submitted(+1)

Updated my graphics card drivers and it worked - Card is NVidia GeFroce 940MX BTW

Interesting game, not quite sure what I was doing somehow got on the scoreboard (nice touch BTW)

Liked the intro screen but again not really sure if the gun was doing anything

Developer

Okay, I'm glad you could run it. Thanks for the feedback!

Haha, yeah I understood with all the comments that my game wasn't that intuitive.

The gun was able to put back and remove the colors of the dream.

Developer

To check you can start a Godot project with Forward+ version and tell me if it crashes.

This felt very chaotic, in a good way. I loved the gameplay and the music track. I did not figure out how should I use any of my weapons, but it was fun to play for a while nonetheless. Great job!

One bug I found - I had a score of 29, and in my next run I scored 12. When I submitted my score to the leaderboard with the same name - it overwritten my good score with my worse score!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Do you mean the usefulness of the weapon or the bindings? I am glad you enjoyed it :)

Sorry for the score. It is a bug in my API and I think I could correct it now because I will not have to submit again. I will ask.

Developer

Bug fixed ;)

I was unable to launch this on macOS. Has anyone been able to get this to work?

Developer

Sorry, this is the only platform I could not test, did it get block by GateKeeper or something else ?

Submitted

No, it just crashes if I try to run it from a terminal.

The application cannot be opened for an unexpected reason, error=Error Domain=RBSRequestErrorDomain Code=5 "Launch failed." I found that on the Godot documentation:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "MayTheDreamLast.app"

codesign -s - --force --deep "MayTheDreamLast.app"

If you are able to try that and tell me if it works, I would be really glad.

I think it is a problem of signing, I will try to see if I can fix that and put the file again. Thanks for noticing me.

The program opened with a light blue screen and then it crashed.

Developer

I am truly sorry, I don't knwo how to solve this. I searched the solution today and all I came up with was using:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "MayTheDreamLast.app"

So if someone managed to launch that on their Mac I would be glad to hear how.

Developer

I don't know how it works on MacOS for Vulkan support, but are you able to start a Forward+ project on Godot 4.0. Also I am using the .NET version, maybe it comes from there.

I just tested this and it works. I think a lot of people would be upset if Forward+ and C# did not work on macOS.

Developer

Yeah I just wanted to know if you had the capacity to run it.

I played your game on my other computer with Windows 10 Home and it loaded up fine. I liked your opening/title screen where you explain the rules as well as having it be interactive. Great idea! I liked the art and the unicorns were cute. Nice job with your first GWJ submission!

Developer

Haha, I'm glad you could finally launch it :)

Thanks for your feedback! I am happy that you liked the title screen, I was kinda proud of my idea ^^
