Game Description
A 2d precise & intense action game with horrible voicelines and even worse balancing

How does your game tie into the theme?
You go into people who are having nightmares' minds and kill demons, which (somehow) stops the nightmare; as a subscription service (at least at first)

Nice gameplay.
I kind of had a hard time following what's being said as I don't have that good of an ear for english.
Nonetheless, I liked the story behind it.
Maybe add the text of it to the screen next time?

Could not play the windows download - it looked like it was opening then closed but did nothing

I got it to work needed to update my video card drivers.

Game was fun - agree with others that voiceover was a bit too long and interfered with the gameplay, overall good submission

I think it's so original to have a voice that speaks and explains things!

One of my favs so far from this game jam! Really well done, good job. Love the whole "fighting in the darkness" idea, and the chaotic dashing of everything makes the game feel quite fluid.

If there's one criticism I'll say, it's this: your game is fun, so please show it! These mostly blank intermission sections feel like nothing but padding. Let us, the player, play more of the game. If you want to include voiceovers or lore, make sure that it doesn't interfere with the main game itself too much, since the main game is fun! Also, the UI doesn't scale properly with smaller screens, but that's a smaller critique of mine. Either way, great job with this.

Thanks! Looking back, the  voiceovers / how I did them  were definitely a bad idea, and I'll definitely be fixing them in a post-jam version (and also fix the UI). I'm glad you enjoyed it! Also, if you don't mind, I'd like to know if you were playing on windows, since that version has a bug that makes the game way easier than otherwise. Also, how far did you make it (if you made it there) in the boss fight?, since I think I made it way too hard, but I'm not entirely sure.

Interesting concept. The game plays really well and I enjoy the cooldown on attacks. It made them more meaningful. The voiceover phases are a little too long, you can just reduce them to 10 seconds maximum, slow the pace and put them while the player is killing foes or something.
Decent entry, regardless. It's a fun take to the VS genre.

Thanks! I plan on fixing the voicelines in a post-jam version, and I like the idea of putting them over the combat. I'm glad you enjoyed it! (also glad you didn't encounter the bug that makes 2 of the enemy types do nothing lol)
