Game Description
Humanity has fallen against an alien life form, this is the story of how survivers gather resources to beggin the great Ascension.
How does your game tie into the theme?
I came up with the idea of ascent resource while defending the mine with space marines like a horizontal "starcraft" game in 2D.

Nice game! It was quite fun and well-scoped for a gamejam, and the palette and graphics were quite nice! I wish there wasn't a limit on the workers, so that you could continue to ramp up production throughout, maybe make the ship cargo space upgradable. Cause once you get enough gunmen there isn't anything to do except wait for the game to end. Not really a bad thing, its cool to watch the setup you worked for succeed, just wanted more to do cause it is fun!
Thanks very much! i did try to keep it simple because the lack of time, the limit of worker was because the game mechanics break really easy if you had to much workers, but you could have multiple workers if the enemy could atack this too. At the begining it was the plan, but i had to cut somethigns out because the deadline. May be i will add this features leater.
Now i want to jump to the next jam.
Cool game! If you add some more content, upgrades etc. that would be a nice base for a game.
I love the aesthetic with limited palette, looks great and everything is clearly visible. Music fits well, some sfx would add a lot to the UX.
At first I wasn't sure what to to, but first waves are well balanced to give player time to figure things out. Then I noticed that cursor sometimes changes to X, so I though that this is for shooting enemies. But then realized it is for moving units. Some kind of tutorial, even a game screenshot with UI elements and some text explanation would help with that.
Managed to complete the game on 3rd try, after figuring how things work.
Enjoyed it a lot and I hope to see an update post-jam :)
Thanks a lot for your comments.
yes, it was planned to have more units and more enemies, and you could attack the enemy base. The cursor have a label but is hiden, you even can select enemy units to atack each one. (If you play in desktop, the units has a selection outline)
This was a solo jam for me, so i had to go fast with mostly features.
I would like to add this features and change some things, maybe when the jam is done.
Really nice. I love the artstyle, music and the general presentation.
The gameplay itself is a bit too simple, its very easy to get in a position where you just have to wait for the game to end. Balancing is definitely hard in such a short timespan though.
I think this has a lot of potential for a very fun and strategic post-jam version with more unit types :)
