I HAVE 22 TXT DOCUMENTS DOCUMENTING MY DREAMS AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS.

Hey! We (okhnid and naorazy) are a duo (slithernose) and we'll make games together here on itch.io in the future, might as well follow us to see more :p

and we're also making a steam game!

Just sayin' tho

Oh! I apologize for not including an accessibility menu. Godot Wild Jam instincts forced me to make it at first, but then it got kinda forgotten...

Hey! We figured this concept together with my jam-mate based on a dream!

I wrote the scripts for most of the characters, and yea, i might have some pacing issues...
Nevertheless, I'm glad people enjoy my funny writing anyways :p

Hey! Thanks for feedback! I was [mostly] the writer and coder for this project.

Hydra actually has more endings than anyone in this game, I like drama and moral choices :p

I didn't really try to do humor, that's just the way i write lol
I think people call it lighthearted
Glad it was fun!

For the sake of my own sanity, I do not want to believe that a single person made this in a week. It's too awesome.

SO awesome! Great graphics, cool music, and solid gameplay! Made me doubt my dedication to jam solo :p

There isn't really much to say about an amazing game - I usually only criticize or mutter about my philosophical interpretations. This one is just a good game!

the game over boom is pretty loud

You have a really unique idea that took too long for my brain to figure out :P

After I did, it was pretty fun, and I learned that I can't plan lol

Still a good game!

I'll just copy my comment from discord. I finished the game, and these points still apply.

I LOVE IT

  1. It's a platformer that uses mouse, like my main project :P
  2. Awesome music
  3. PHYSICS
  4. Solid movement
  5. Cool dialogues

Definitely getting 5/5 from me on most categories

It was a nice game!

I got to see the ending, it was fun. While I don't consider the ending particularly interesting, I liked the "don't be a flat earther" gag :p

Controls are nice, but it would be more accessible if parachute had an in-game tutorial

Music and visuals are pretty cool too.

Nice. I love physics in games, and this little game touched my heart. Lack of a tutorial kinda hurts, but it's very satisfying to play after you read the description :p

Graphics are delightfully simple, and music fits the mood.

Funky beats for a game starting out with a nuke on-screen!

That's not a unique gameplay concept for sure, but it's well-executed here. Some levels were a bit too unforgiving, but I guess that's the genre :p

The music was pretty calming, and the sky animations were pretty cool. Love the artstyle.

Yea, it's repetitive, and the island's low speed gets boring quickly. Still a neat experience, thanks :)

okay, the font is pretty hard to read at first

The artstyle is awesome though, and the gameplay is nice for a jam game. Lack of a tutorial made it pretty hard to figure out stuff at the beginning.

Cute graphics, unfortunately no sounds, and handy controls. It's a neat idea and a good little game to experience.

Dialogue is just a loop with yields and Nathan Hoad's plugin inside :p

Yeah, if I get to release a post-jam version, I should probably add more visual hints about controls lol

A nice concept! It was pretty hard for me to learn that the game activates my sequence automatically when it's long enough, but it was interesting to play afterwards. Graphics are pretty neat too!

That's an awesome and, I'd even dare to say, calming experience. After trying some of these jam games, all trying to impress me with content, moderately advanced systems, and expansive locations, it's good to just sit and play a simple match-3 game with a cat.

Other than that, the music is very great, it is very stable, and pleasant to look at.

I love the idea, and presence of a tutorial is indeed very nice. Controls are pretty good, but physics are questionable - the ninja curls into a ball a bit too much and air control is pretty hard :p

That's a pretty cool game! Visuals are nice, music choice is fitting, and various reincarnations are pretty fun to see too, although the skeleton is OP due to enemies' detection range being pretty low.

"Respawn at the campfire" button is not very intuitive since its positioning makes it look like a title.

Button sounds are a nice touch!

I love the idea and the feel of the game, but controls are a bit clunky and enemies are sometimes too fast for such a chaotic environment.

Music is pretty cool, but uploading a exe as a linux binary is unforgivable >:(

Writing this as I play:

Would be more accessible if the intro slideshow required input and wasn't time-based.

Music choice is pretty nice, and art is charming in its own way.  The name pun is pretty awesome.

Gotta be honest though, didn't have enough patience to see the ending, sorry.

UI animations in the shop were a nice touch btw

The character is too fast sometimes, but it's a fun concept and an interesting game. Music choice is great too!

Jump mushrooms don't seem to be deterministic, which could be kinda annoying, but I love the approach to squishing the character against the wall if I try to abuse the physics engine :p

It was pretty fun, liked the humor and worm sprites. Controls are pretty clunky, but I think it's okay for a flappybird-inspired game :p

Texture filtering in the mountain texture looks kinda awkward though

Not bad, but I would suggest binding the "start" button to the space key to keep controls consistent.

Movement seemed kinda floaty for me, but maybe that's the point. Music is pretty cool too.

YO, that was an awesome experience! Beautiful graphics, fun controls, and decent replayability. The only thing I could complain about is the map being a little repetitive and sometimes too empty, but this is to be expected from the jam's limited time scope :p

It didn't seem right to make a happy ending so i added Dark from my main project :P

Lags during loading are expected since I didn't really have time to implement a background loader

Also, FIREFOX WORKS?? Yo, didn't work for me. Maybe my setup or nvidia drivers are at fault. Now i feel bad for being unable to remove the browser check lol

Do not delete the HTML version, check this:SharedArrayBuffer support on your game page.

Godot 4 requires that to be enabled.

That's the first game I fully (save for the music) made and published!

It was supposed to be a puzzle, but i had to scrap this idea lol

Take pawn navigation as a puzzle of its own :P

Thanks! You can actually see how I planned to implement better controls by talking to recruited Pawny - they have several options that assist the player. It was not implemented for others and is not explicitly mentioned because it's partially scrapped...

Doesn't run on web for me, had to download. Did you turn on SharedArrayBuffer-something in page settings?

I would suggest making animations and movement more responsive. Audio felt a bit too loud for my liking, and the level's collisions are sometimes problematic.

It's a fun idea though.
