Very nice gameplay - i like that this is one of the few games where the animals you can posses do not die after you leave their body :) and cool artwork, i love it!

This game was very well done. I liked the art for the animals, they were quite cute. My favorite was the squid. I also like how you had somewhat hidden collectable parasite things like the strawberries in celeste. It felt pretty cool to be able to go back multiple screens with a different animal and get into an area I couldn't before. The controls for some of the animals could use some fine tuning, like the kangaroo having to jump in order to move, but other than that, great job.

Really awesome project! Congrats on your first GWJ! This was a great entry. I loved the variety in mechanics you implemented. Everything felt very polished. I liked the sound effects, and thought the animals were really cute. Loved the kangaroo! Great job. :)

Thank you so much! I'm not the greatest at pixel art, but I spent a lot of time on those sprites so I'm really glad you thought they were cute.

I really like the core idea here and it was pretty fun, but some of the controls just held me back from having an amazing time. Specifically, both the kangaroo and the bird were a bit rough for me. Not being able to move the kangaroo except while jumping and the imprecise ability to control the distance made some of those sections feel really bad because of how little room for error the jumps had. Being able to walk without jumping would go along way towards improving that. For the bird, I definitely am not the best flappy bird player so that is part of it but I also found that each flap was just too powerful for the level of precise navigation that was required. That said, the only reason I mention these issues is that whenever I was not on the bird or didn't have to make extremely careful platforming with the kangaroo, I was having an absolute blast. The concept is so unique and you managed to escalate the puzzles in a really good way. The different music while piloting animals was a great touch as well. So overall, really great job and with just a little more polish on the controls I think this could be truly amazing. Well done!

Thank you so much for the feedback! These are the kinds of issues that would have been fixed if I had people other than me playtesting the game lol. That being said, I didn't want to make the kangaroo be able to walk normally because I wanted all of the creatures to feel distinct from each other and it would've been too generic otherwise,  but I probably could've made some of the jumps easier or some other solution to make it feel more intuitive to control.

Really cool game! Very much enjoyed your choice of creatures and their movement. Looks and sounds great too, I especially liked the music changing according to the creature captured. Just a very nice game overall, awesome job!

Awesome game ! I really loved the various mechanics and how you used it. Also nice tribute to flappy bird :D

Nice job with modifying the grass tileset to be unique, though the spikes would have benefitted from being a more spike-like sprite. Good use of theme in not only taking control of other creatures, but also sacrificing/discarding them to their death once their usefulness is over.

Great game. Fun and challenging. Liked how you used the audio to add to the experience and the variety in the  creatures. plus good level design.

I loved this game, you can really feel the difficulty curve rising as you progress through and because the various animals have great controls that you get used to you are able to traverse the harder stages just as easily as the first ones, a sense of mastery. Everything is nice about this game, if I had to pick which aspect could be improved it would be the visuals but for the limited time and how well the rest of the game is I would say they are still good :)

I like the art and the gameplay is clean! The uniqueness of the creatures stuck out to me

That was a cool game. I enjoyed the gliding most :D The octopus was prob. the hardest one to control. The music felt pretty smooth all the time switching between the animals. tutorial, graphics, audio all nicely made. Great job on this!

I enjoyed this and played it for a while but unfortunately my browser (Safari) eventually reloaded the page due to memory usage. I would’ve kept going if it hadn’t!

Neat idea with the music changing based on the creature you possess though I’m not sure how necessary it is.

I think the only thing it needs is changing up the tile set after a while so I feel like I’m exploring and making progress.

I specially enjoyed seeing the flying squirrel since it was similar to a game I mad for a jam where you float using an umbrella :-D

Awesome game, similar idea to mine but 2D, made me think I should've added a flying squirrel. The level design is really well done and it controls well, well done!
