Really awesome game! Congrats on your first GWJ. I really loved the mechanic you created. It really worked well as a strategy game and I thought it was a lot of fun. Great job!
Such a good strategy game! The mechanic of changing your element when merging is so unique.
Thank you :)
I had a good time! Simple but fun
Great game! I like the multiplayer aspect even if its local. Art and music were good too. Well done and great team effort here!
Thank you very much for your feedback! :)
Love the mechanics of merging to get a new power. Kudos on the art and music, felt fitting. One time I accidentally merged instead of moving because i didnt notice i was still in merge mode, i think this was after ending the turn.
Thank you for your feedback. Merging instead of walking actually happend to me quite a lot too while testing -.-' ...
Great take on the theme. I think you implemented the chosen wildcards very well. Can see a lot of potential for added complexity, nice work.
Thank you so much for your nice feedback :)
Awesome game! Very nice use of the theme and wildcards, and cool style overall. Really enjoyed the multiplying/roshambo mechanic, and there were some great touches like the camera control, allowing for more players, or even just having the computer brawl it out. Nice one!
thank you very much!
This was a really interesting concept. It felt like a mash-up of ideas I’d seen in different places but wouldn’t have expected to come together this nicely. I liked the character designs and the movement sounds as well.
Nice job!
Thanks!
Such an interesting game, I loved the strategy that you can put in this by multiplying and differentiating your units.
At the beginning I thought that the merging action would give me an additional Roshambo element, but then I discovered that it replaces the original one. That makes more sense, because it requires you to multiply first (by gaining the blood cells) and differentiate next; this is some cool game design, and a good way to direct the player's game. Good job, congrats!
Thanks very much for your comment!
This is a pretty cool concept, and it was executed quite well. I find it a bit ironic that the game is called parasilly and the one wildcard you opted not to use was the silly switch.
We had some ideas about the silly switch, which prompted us to use that name, but didn’t have time to implement them.
I played more than one round. I'm a real sucker for hexgrid games and its amazing you guys pulled this off in a jam period. To me the fusing to change the symbols mechanic was mindblowing. I was able to play it smoothly on mobile too, which was a huge plus. The camera adjustment UI was a super considerate touch, for touchscreen play.
I played the "space" looking map, where there were 4 to 5 blood cells. I picked most of them up and at some point I wished for an "auto" switch to units that has yet to move, or an easier way to cycle through units instead of having to click on them. Its more of a QOL wishlist for me haha.
One day I hope to make a Hexgrid game too, hopefully I can learn from you guys!
Thanks for your feedback!
Im not sure if theres anything you can learn from us but you can now take a look in our sourcecode at github.com/dwc-games/godot-wild-jam-67 :D
Quite a unique idea for a game jam. Liked the concept. AI opponent is a bit random but I think this game is well executed other than that.
Nice entry!
Thank you very much for your feedback. The AI is moving quite fast unfortunately, which is why it may appear random, but it is actually not. We will be more considerate of the way the AI moves in our next jam :)
parasites designs are really cool
Thank you!
Really neat use of the themes! The simplicity of the match-ups made it a bit rougher since if you are on the wrong type, you need to leg it until you can find a blood cell to change which can be dull at times. Maybe an option to do damage even while being the wrong type would be a nice way to take the concept further. That way 2 paper units could take down 1 rock, etc. But that's a pretty minor thing and overall it was a good deal of fun to play.
Great game. Really good UX. Nicely done.
Thank you!
Really liked it, the parasite designs are cool and it fits the themes and limitations really well :D
Thank you very much :3
Pretty clever idea with the roshambo mechanic, Sometimes the buttons didn't feel super responsive but i managed to clear most of the game was fun to try beat a level
Thanks, added the button responsive point to our notes for the next game jam.
