Interesting take on the theme, the strategy resource balancing games are good having it related to building a shrine is a nice touch.

Like the text/story elements and liked the graphics when there were there too bad you didn't have more time to add more.

Some music and sound effects would have been nice too.

Thanks for submitting, and good job for your first, keep them coming.

Hey Anonymyst, thanks for checking out my submission!

I definitely agree and it's something I overlooked because I underestimated the scope of what I was trying to create. Sound effects and music go a long way in making something feel polished and in retrospect there were moments where I sunk a lot of time into other details where as that could've been used for it. Lessons for future jams.

I appreciate the feedback! Thanks for playing :D

You archived the graphics style of a 90s DOS game. As this was desired - nice result. :-)

I like this style. Problem I've no clue at all how to play this as I don't know the named similar games. Really no idea.

Hey pocdev! Thanks for checking it out. I'm glad you liked the graphics style of the game :D

As for the play style of this certain genre, they're meant to be immersive role-playing games with strategy/simulator elements. Besides Sword of the Samurai that was mentioned earlier below, a title I'd definitely recommend is Warsim The Realm of Aslona if you're interested in checking out the genre some more. That game in particular was where I took inspiration for the exploration system.

The adrenaline was definitely through the roof on those last two minutes lol. Thanks for checking it out!

Yeah, I really dig this kind of game in the style of Sword of the Samurai (DOS). Enjoyed it a lot! Hope you do more work on this game, would love to see more gameplay like this.

Hey Londolan! Thanks for checking it out and I'm glad you mentioned Sword of the Samurai. That style of "strategy/simulation" was what I was going for with this.
