Nice work!

Nice job!  The visual readability of some of the platforms was a little difficult at times, but a really neat game!

I'm most of the way through the list, I swear I'll get through everybody before the time is up!

Really nice visuals!  I wasn't able to play online, so I feel like I missed out on the full potential of the game, but it definitely seems nice :)

Nice work, I really like the artwork you made :)  I might suggest allowing the player to keep aiming even while a shot is charging, it actually took me a little bit to realize that the trajectory was locked in place once I started charging.  Fun stuff though!

Thank you so much!

Very thoughtful!  Nice work :)

The Scoreboard is a great touch.  Really brings out the competitiveness, I'll be playing more to see how good I can do!

For a simple game, that fight was actually sick!

Nice stuff!  Definitely got a few good chuckles in :)

Super fun! When I hit laser speed 2.0, I laughed so hard that I died :D  A couple of pieces of feedback (which I'm giving only because I liked the game so much, and you've said you plan to keep developing):

  • If you kill a bunch of enemies all at once, you might level up multiple times simultaneously which leads to weirdness when picking your level up.
  • You can kind of trivialize a bit of the combat by circling the enemies' spawn point.  They stay grouped together, and you just barrage them all over time.  Might be a good addition to have a few spawn points around the map, and the enemies randomly choose one offscreen to spawn at.
  • You may want to pause the action when presenting the level up choices, because it can feel hectic with things still going on in the background.

Keep up the good work!

Fun!  I laughed when I got a Good News: Damage +50%, Bad News: Damage -50%

Nice stuff!  I didn't make it on my first attempt, but I got free eventually :)  Great choice for background music as well!

Nice job!  I have to keep playing to find out what happens when time runs out!  The only suggestion I'd make is, the two beams seem to be just far enough apart that if you point directly at an enemy, they go to either side without hitting.  It might be nice if they were slightly closer together, or if each beam independently pointed at the mouse, so they converged where you aimed.  Really great though, and feels well polished!

Very nice!  Pretty challenging, but a lot of fun.  I'm going to have to bust out my controller and give it another try with that!

Thanks for pointing out the attack issue.  I dug into it, and found the problem:  The aim angle was defaulting to 0 every frame unless there was mouse input that frame.   I've patched it now, so  hopefully it's a better experience!

Next time I'll have to do more playtesting with keyboard and mouse, not just Controller!

Thank you very much :D

Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback!  For the right-facing attacks, I dug into it, and found the problem.  The aim angle was defaulting to 0 every frame unless there was mouse input that frame.  Thanks for pointing it out, I've patched it now, so  hopefully it's a better experience!

Thanks a lot!

As for the attacking left issue, I dug into it, and found the problem!  The aim angle was defaulting to 0 every frame unless there was mouse input that frame.  Thanks for pointing it out, I've patched it now, so  hopefully it's a better experience!

(I guess that's what I get for doing all my playtesting with a controller :D )

I dug into it, and found the problem!  The aim angle was defaulting to 0 every frame unless there was mouse input that frame.  Thanks for confirming you were seeing the issue too, I've patched it now, so  hopefully it's a better experience!

Nice puzzles!  An indicator of scores for pins before you knock them down might be nice, so you can plan for an optimal solution.  A lot of fun regardless though!

Nice job!  I'm not sure if I missed what the objective/goal was, but I enjoyed the handful of ship fights I did, and then cruising around the map for a bit :)

Thanks so much!

Nice, it worked this time, and was a lot of fun!  I think there's a bug where if you pause the game, once you resume you can't target other stalls anymore, but I was able to refresh the page and play a handful of times, and I really enjoyed it!

The writing is on point! I played for way too long after finding lil' Jim hoping there would be more, but alas.  Great job!

This is like a full-on game, nice job!  To come up with a piece of feedback, it might be good to put a "press e" prompt on the crystals, for a long time I didn't know I could pick them up.

Nice job!  I like the art style, and the concept of the inner room during therapy sessions.

Nice stuff!  I'm using those same skeleton models in another of my projects, so it was trippy to see them in a different setting.  Felt good to mow them down though :D

Hey there!  I tried to give your game a go, but I got an error message:

I tried in Chrome and Edge, but same thing.  I'll check back later to give it another try!

Nice job!  Really responsive gameplay, I feel like this would make a perfect mobile game.

Nice Job!  I loved when things lined up, I got insane speeds, and just absolutely flew!

So far, I've been playing/rating and commenting on games that had the least ratings on them, to make sure everyone gets some engagement and appreciation. But now I want to switch over to people who are actively participating in the community!

Please give my game a try (challenging in-browser reverse roguelike best played with Controller, but keyboard/mouse supported) and I'll be sure to try out and rate everyone who comments here or on my game!  https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2024/rate/2739626

And while you're at it, try out everyone else's game in this thread, reward the engagement!

Sorry about that.  I didn't playtest with a trackpad, might be a bug I have to iron out.  If you can, give it a try with a mouse or a controller, hopefully should work then!  Regardless, thanks for giving it a try :)

Sounds like you ran out of time, but that doesn't mean you have to give up!  Once the voting period is over, take this as a starting point and keep going :D

Very glitchy, but I'd say you've inadvertently made some pretty cool experimental music!

Nice Job!  The screen movement was a little bit disorienting as the camera was following the mouse nonstop, but a neat concept overall :)

Nice additions to the Godot course, I like the explosions :D

Sorry to hear you weren't able to finish the game, but glad you got something out of the experience.  Keep it up!
