I enjoyed what was there, it would have been cool if I could have moved the head around with the arrow keys when it is removed. Good stuff.
Interesting platforming.
Wasn't sure what the head mechanic was for.
Liked the graphics of the areas though, nice job on it!
The concept is really cool, but I think it's not used nearly enough, also maybe being able to throw the head instead of just dropping it would be better.
Also I saw someone say that the head returns but it didn't for me.
That said good job I like the idea a lot and the character itself while simple didn't feel bad to control, congrats!
The Dullahan Knight is actually kind of hard for me to get past the first level. I mean, this game has some exceptional art and level design. But I feel that I can jump a bit too high for my liking which often times got me killed constantly haha. I immediately love how the first level is supposed to be hard and it's meant to be a testament to the player of how calculated they are to get past some of more difficult levels, other than the first level of course. This submission is very solid, not gonna lie but just fix that bug of me being able to clip through the platform as I jump up.
The mechanics seem quite original to me, but I don't feel that they are used too much in the levels. I think background music would have been a contribution too, even so it's a great job :D
The head dropping mechanic is really interesting! I don't think that I've seen anything like that before. My one critique would be that the character moves really fast which makes it hard to control, but I guess that's not a bad thing if you want it to be very difficult. The art and concept are great, good job.
Cute graphics, and it shows you have a good sense about colour palettes. Couldn’t get past the level with the moving spikes, alas.
Being able to detach your head and use it to scout is an interesting concept. There were times when it didn't want to return to me, and I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong or if there was a bug. I do think the controls were a little difficult, since scouting usually involves dropping the head down a pit, and managing the jump and releasing the head took some time to get right.
This gets me thinking about what other types of interaction could exist with the detaching head concept. I think demonstrates potential, but is rough in it's current state.
