How does your game tie into the theme?
Anatolian motifs directly connected to Anatolian Folklore, I also used local instruments to produce music.

Cool game. Got to level 20 Limited Flip and the cards stopped spawning in, guess it stops at that level? Also found a small bug where you could flip an already flipped card back over so when you go for the second match try it will flip it over to the revealed side. That was only a problem for some of the levels. Overall I think it was fun.

Developer

Thank you for commenting! It was controlled but probably i missed the control the game after level 20, sorry for the bug. I explained the other bug in a previous reply. Btw thank you for playing all of the game!

A cool classic well executed. The music and sound affects are great, the small story/explication of the cards are cool to read and the game is pleasing to the eye, you adjusted well the colors ! I found a small bug I think, it is possible to click on a card already flipped and it flips it again then the game is not sure what pair you choose. Anyway a great game, good job !

Developer

Thank you for the comments and thank you for reporting the bug! I also encountered the same bug but it was too late to fix it.

Technical explanation: All cards had an id about their type and I forgot to check if the same card flipped twice. So when you click on the same card twice,  first click goes to ChosenCard[0] and second click goes to ChosenCard[1]. Since ChosenCard[0].type = ChosenCard[1].type code assumes that they are paired and assumes that it is a successful match.

Oh that's what happens, really interesting as a bug ! It is avoidable when known so it's not that big of a deal  for a jam, good job finding the root of the issue anyway !

I loved the audio/sfx and general design of the cards. The game played well and had a challenge.

Developer

Thanks, I am glad you liked the audio and cards!

Well done! I enjoyed playing this one. The concept is not super original, but I liked the difficulty progression and it is very well made. I also enjoyed learning about the symbols.  Great work on the assets and the music/SFX was fantastic, though I thought the sounds were a bit cut off - I would have liked to hear the instruments ring out more.

Developer

Thanks! I didn't want to interrupt the gameplay with a song always playing since there were other sound effects which can easily overlap because all of them made with the same instrument (despite of card flip sound). But, I will try to find out how to implement more music into gameplay in my future games. Again, thank you for your comments!

The music is cool! I wish there was more of it.
