Game Description
Slimes have invaded the land! Can you travel across it safely?

How does your game tie into the theme?
The unintended consequence is that by removing the obstacle of enemies (killing them), the remaining enemies become even bigger obstacles by becoming bigger and faster.

Cool game ! The basics are well done and everything feels right to play (jump, speed, moving platforms ...) and the idea of a rage value the more you kill that has consequence is fun. Great job !

The jump feels a bit stiff, I suggest making it smoother. I really like the idea and it was fun! Hope to see you making more games equipped with the basics.

Interesting idea, I like it! I think it’d be nice if the slash had a bit more range to it, besides that, great job!

Hmm... Very familiar assets)

I like the idea of enemies getting stronger and faster the more you kill. the platforming and combat felt satisfying. nice work!

Very nice, I am assuming you first started with a Brackeys tutorial and are adapting the game from there? That's how I made my first godot game, Leap Wizard: https://alexbelanger.itch.io/leap-wizard :)

It looks one-to-one like a game developed by someone who is learning Godot with a tutorial, but it has nothing of its own. When you reach the end on the right, you can run out of the field of vision, but that's all that happens. I like the graphics pack though.

The twist for the game jam theme was unfortunately hard to see in the tutorial level alone. I had a huge bug preventing me from exporting a build with a complete level in it (with working level transitions too). With it fixed, the mods let me reupload and now a better version is available!

Yes, I played it and it worked!

I saw the problems with exporting the game, but fortunately, I still got a feel for the game in the tutorial! I really REALLY liked the feel of the movement. The coyote jump and the variable height jump felt great. From this point on with these basics you can build any type of platformer and it would honestly be enjoyable. Good job :D

Thanks! I got the export problem fixed and the mods let me reupload the more complete version of the game. Give it a try if you'd like.
