Fun experience with a quirky premise and some nice visuals. It took me a little while to figure out you could charge the throw and how large the hitbox on the dolls was, but once I figured that out, it handles quite smoothly. Didn't really find a use for the teleporter though. Solid work!
Even without VR the throwing mechanics were solid. I wish there was a crosshair, but you learn where the "bombs" are going to land after enough practice. The graphics are good! I liked all the different poses for the figures, and the zombie variations were nice. I too found you could rapidly throw to drop tons of figures and completely defeat the threat of zombies. I think it would have benefitted from a cooldown, or maybe a recharging ammo pool, or something like that.
All in all, great work
I played this in VR. I've always wanted to do a VR game in godot, so it's very encouraging to me to see how this turned out. I am impressed. I found that I could just rapidly press the trigger and grab buttons back and forth to drop a ton of figures quickly which would basically make me invincible. The hands and zombie animations looked good. Thanks for making this!
makes you practically invincible but takes a lot of effort and focus to not stop doing it after some time, so there is a “cost” in gameplay, which in my opinion still keeps it as fair play (like “you can’t rest” your fingers movements)
thank for trying it!
I didn't enjoy the narration. It was weird how the character introduced that they were using collectibles of themselves as ammunition. It sounded like some type of innuendo. But that's me personally. There's probably someone who would really enjoy that.
I did enjoy the controls and killing zombies. It felt really simple though and I wasn't sure when I won the game or if it was never-ending. A timer or a score counter or something to help mark progression would be helpful.
I did think it was original to have a witch defending her tower against zombies. I wouldn't normally think of zombies and witches together. The art style was cute too. :)
It was supposed to be her embarrassed for being so self-obsessed she actually has collectibles of herself (akin to a king ordering busts of himself to decorate his own room). I’m sorry it ended up sounding otherwise. I know my intonation didn’t help, but, uh…that is actually how I talk…
the game is an endless survival so there is no win, only lose. You see your score when you lose. I could have added counters on the wrists, it would help
