A nice dungeon crawler like game ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ๐Ÿ‘พ!

GAMEPLAY
The concept of choosing upgrades at the expense of the character's sanity is not only unique twist but also well-implemented, offering players strategic decision-making. The controls are smooth, contributing to an enjoyable experience. Game seemed bug free to me and nicely polished. Choosing your upgrades every time was a fun choice to make and check how good or bad it went afterwards in the next room. As someone mentioned, health bar among enemies, for example, would still be nice bonus.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The pixel art style is beautifully executed, with charming animations that bring the game's world to life.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The music and sound effects successfully complement the game's sanity theme, enriching the atmospheric tension and immersion.

INNOVATION
The game may not break new ground in terms of innovation.

THEME
The theme of consequences is effectively explored through the gameplay mechanics with choices to make.

This game stands out as a solid and polished entry in the game jam. Nice job! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽฎ๐ŸŒŸ

It was a great game. The sanity mechanic is really clever, makes the game not only harder but also strategic. Controls are smooth and everything feels balanced. Good job!

that's a good game though i saw that under the asset used cathegory you put not aplicable, while in reality you used this asset pack right here, i'm sure it's an error, though i would advise to fix it. except this great entry!

Oh I thought that was for the assets that I created, so I put not applicable since I didn't make most of the assets. I did link the asset pack in the credits found in the game, but I'll go ahead and add it to the description as well! Props for keeping an eye out for the asset creators.

Wonderful game overall! Bug free, smooth and satisfying to play and replay. Great representation of "Consequences" with the sanity level.

Great game! Everything felt pretty smooth and polished, and everything including the concept was very intuitive! Additionally, I like the idea that choosing rewards result in a consequence of more enemies.

A suggestion that I have for the game would be a health bar for the enemies, so you know how much damage you dealt to them.

Most fun game i've played so far, it was very good played for about 50 rooms until my attack speed was so high projetiles no longer spawned, however for the "how does the game fit the theme" the Sanity mehanic is there but it doesnt seem to do anything, i ran with 0 sanity for most of the game and kept going further down with no issues, a thing to add would be the abillity to hit downwards with the sword, but in general it was a fun game

Thank you! really appreciate you playing it :D

The sanity mechanic was intended to increase enemy spawn rates, as your sanity lowers. But there is a cap to the enemies that I probably should've made a bit higher due to how much your weapon can scale in the game.

I like that idea though. Hitting downward would be a good addition, thanks again.
