How does your game fit the theme?
You need to fix the loop of the engine that powers the dungeon to open the door. Do this by collecting shards on your way. You also can fix minor engines to activate a checkpoint

Game is very polished and addicting. I could see this game being a popular speedrun game. Solid game!
I do not think this game fits the breaking the loop theme. It is an interesting concept, while playing it sometimes seemed as if the flying power was not consistent. Due to the game mechanics, the bottom floor of the level is too low. In order to propel myself up, I have the bury the mouse into the bottom of the monitor with little margin for error. I did not complete the game, after doing the tutorial and a 1100 second run. I managed to get a dozen or so checkpoints, making it well into the laser section, with no end in sight. As the level progresses, the obstacles only become more annoying. The more I die, the more I feel the game is cheating me rather than a mistakes on my part.
The game feels very blurry, while the UI is extremely sharp - these two styles don’t fit well together. In the tutorial, it says to use the left mouse button to fly, but it would be helpful to also explain that flying happens because of the recoil from shooting the fork. This mechanic is tricky to handle, but I do like the concept!
I noticed some issues with the tileset, especially around the corners, probably due to time constraints. Reaching the second checkpoint was already quite difficult, and by the third, I started feeling frustrated because the mechanic feels a bit off. Thus, I did not want to keep playing. Have in mind that what feels manageable to you as the developer might be too hard for players. The game has a lot of potential, though! However, I didn’t quite see how it fits the 'breaking the loop' theme.
I think that is nice game.

thanks a lot! had a great time working on it
So I'm just going to rate every category with some comments to it.
Gameplay: It was a bit hard at first to really get a feeling of how strong the fork is. Maybe holding down the mouse button can increase the strength of the push. The shards were placed in good positions, even if they can be tricky sometimes (this obviously has to be that way).
Art: I think the game's art is a bit broken in the web build. All graphics are blurry. I've tested it in 2 different browsers, but it was blurry every time. From the screenshots I can see, the Windows build probably works. Anyway, the art style is cute, and there is a good atmosphere.
Sound: Basic sound design was implemented, although some more sound effects could have been better. The music fits pretty well into the atmosphere!
Innovation: Same as gameplay, lol
Theme: The theme was there, but only as a "goal" to escape the dungeon.
Still a solid game and great work! :)
That's very nice to hear. I know it's hard but that's kind of the point, I had some inspiration in the rage game genre. It is a little bit wierd that the art is broken. Can you maybe show a screenshot
. I tried my game in Firefox but had no problem . Thanks for playing. PS: did you get to the end or was it to hard?
I sadly didn't get to the end, but I can share a screenshot :) It's happening in both Brave and Edge.
Thanks for letting me know, I think I can't fix that but i'll look if i can find a solution.
