just played another game you made for a jam:  Planet Jump.  holy cow - it's one of the coolest little games I've ever played - and you made it in TWO DAYS?  you're my hero, dude

your games are keeping me from working on my next game jam submission!  i'll tear myself away until the Pirate Software jam is over...

this should be on Steam.  it's 100 times better than most of the puzzle games on there.  i don't buy many games these days, but Shadow Path is one I would be completely happy to pay for.  more specifically, the audio (effects and music) and the visuals are perfect.  the game mechanics and level design are super clever and original.  overall, either the first or second most impressive game I've tried during this jam.

I really enjoyed this because I am a simple man, and it made me feel smart!

The puzzle with the light and shadows, combined with collecting objects that help you progress was genius!

I would play this all day!!!!

Very cool unique game idea :-)!
This was a fun and clever puzzle game. The puzzles increased difficulty steadily and introducing new options and features. Was fun to find out how to solve the levels using the options available.
Maybe one very minor downside was that targeting the shadows with the mouse was not always easy and sometimes just went wrong but the quick reset helped not be frustrated.
The idea/theme of light & darkness using these shadows was very unique and clever invented. No UI to be seen..good. Good example that simple visuals can still be excellent and create a fun game. Nice simple visual style and the music really fitted the puzzle levels well. Relaxing and giving it a good ambiance.
I would say: job very well done for this jam :-)!!

Great game! Music was meditative!

Concept is great. Took me some time to understand that control of light can be obtained only in the beginning or on hitting the yellow balls.

Overall a good one!

This was really clever! I liked the mechanic very much ( are those runtime calculated collision polygons or how you did it?). I honestly enjoyed every second of it, the music, sound effects and style matches really well! Also nice touch adding some chromatic aberration when touching the "checkpoints". +++! 5/5

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! For the collisions, I use polygon colliders on the shadows and update their shape each frame when the light moves. Since I use only one light source in each level, the algorithm to create the colliders isn't too complex. It uses an algorithm similar to the wall tracking method here but for shadows instead of visibility.

Makes sense, You could also optimize it by only calculating it only when locking the light on place, since ball cannot move while light moves. Thanks for the extra info tho! :)

Really nice idea and great levels. I think the looks remind me a bit of a mobile game but they are still not bad. I really liked that you brought new ideas to the levels the further you got. Also you had no UI! Great job all in all!

I like the game, it's a great idea using the light for the puzzle, congratulation.
