Very fun and creative game. I haven't played Lemmings in years so it was a real challenge haha

I agree with Aesica, a downloadable version and a way to pan the camera over the level before you start would be great + it gives the player time to strategize.

Thanks so much for playing :)

This reminded me of various flash games I’d play on newgrounds and kongregate back in the days. Very creative level design, too! That aside:

  • I would’ve really liked a downloadble version, as I kept getting in this annoying tug-of-war with the mouse getting captured and jerking the viewable area around in the web player. The UI was the real boss in this one.
  • It would’ve been nice to have a sort of pause period at the start of each level where you can pan over it and take it all in before clicking a “go” button or whatever to start everything.

Thanks for playing Aesica! I appreciate the feedback! Definitely a good idea to let the player choose between webgl and a downloadable file. Thanks again!

I appreciate the creativity involved in making a Lemmings clone and I like that you have improved in telling the player up-front how to play. There still are some things that make playing this game awkward, like not being able to see the goal right away and how fast the Hrldngs move. I can see in the screenshot how you intended level 5 to be beaten, but the option to use the umbrella is present on the screen but won't work, so it seems like it's bugged.

It's a challenging game and I do get the thrill of "hey, I solved it" when I beat a level, so good job there! Keep improving!

Thanks so much for playing KV! I also really appreciate the feedback :) I'm going to check out the umbrella issue. They do break from falls that are too high, so need to be timed I wonder if something in that script is causing a bug! Thanks again KV! And thanks for HRLD!!! :) It was so much fun using your art :)

Having never played (or even heard) of Lemmings before, this was really tough. I felt like my screen was obscured by buttons and I never saw where exactly the hrldngs needed to go. Somehow I was able to beat level 1 though.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out! Sorry to hear that, it is quite challenging especially for people who have not played Lemmings. To move the camera, hold down the middle mouse. You can also set the mouse to push the camera when you move it to an edge in the options :)

I wasn't able to get too far on this due to the control scheme, but it's a neat idea and aside from accessibility concerns I think it was executed decently well.

Wish there was a desktop version with controller compatibility.

Hi Moogle! Thanks so much for trying it out, and providing the valuable feedback!  :)

Cool, a Lemmings type of game! Challenging and takes a little bit of practice to get the Hrlds to do my bidding  (especially learning how to position those ramps)! Nice work!

Thank you so much for playing and providing feedback Nowis!! :D

Really enjoyed this, took me back to the good old days.  Think the Lemmings moved a little fast and at times I felt like Mavis Beacon especially with the umbrella's lol but great idea.  I'd slow them down a tad and maybe zoom out the scene a little bit.

Hi P! I bet we are pretty close to the same age haha, I remember the days of Lemmings like it was cutting edge tech lol!

Awesome feedback thanks! You can zoom out with the middle mouse wheel but after the jam I will default the view to see more of the level and increase the max view size :)  I will also make a slow mow speed and maybe even a pause where you can still select.

I really appreciate you playing, can't wait to check out Journey to TBA!

You can tell by ones love of Lemmings how old they are.  I never tried the mouse wheel for some reason, will give it a blast again this evening.

My computer hatted the controls set up here and only selected a HRLD about 1 in every five clicks. So I'm either really bad at clicking on things or there's an issue some where in the connectivity. Possibly my internet.

It was a good game! I just wish my computer or internet or what ever didn't treat selecting like every click was on a randomizer.

No combat so no score there. (And no,I'm not counting the fight with my mouse)

I'm combining humor and Visuals because in this game you can't have one with out the other. It was quirky and fun!

Sound was OK.

Not really a story so much as an intro. Was fine.

Thanks so much for the feedback and playing. A tip to avoid having to individually click on the HRLD is to click and drag a selection box around one or multiple HRLD. After the jam I'll make a rly large hit box for the mouse based on your feedback.. that should help out with the individual clicking :) Thanks again for playing TTSnim!

Got to stage hrldhrld and whew, not sure I have the puzzle stamina to keep going. The premise is hilarious and well implemented. It took a while to get the controls right, and getting these hrdlings to actually do what I want was a chore sometimes, just like the lemmings I remember as a kid! I remember the lemmings cheering as they exited, which would have been cool to hear from the little hrldings too.

Awesome that you added more variety to the jam game play. I do want to come back and beat the whole thing at some point!

Developer

Thanks Human! I have gotten some good feedback from people on how to make it easier to manage those HRLDNGS (Lemmings without the precision clicking is still Lemmings right haha  :D  Perhaps in a post-jam update I can add more levels for fun (cheat to unlock all) and QoL improvements like super slow or pause select (BGs idea), larger hit box... and DEFINATELY a HRLD cheer! I really appreciate you playing the game Human!

Never really understood lemmings as a child so playing this allowed me to learn how you actually play lemmings.

Solid game play wise with some good puzzle design, i completely forgot you could box select lemmings so i struggled with the divine intervention until i realized that.

Thanks so much Charlottezxz, As a big Lemmings fan your comments mean a lot to me! Also, I'm a huge fan of your Art in all of your projects. Thanks for playing. I'm really looking forward to Grave Secrets, looks really well done!

I grew up on Lemmings so decided to give this a shot. It is a good idea for the game, but it needs an option to pause your game once the stage has started so you can take a moment to look around and also select lemmings and assign skills. If you do decide to expand on this, please add that option.

Developer

Awesome ideas BG! If I implement post jam changes those will be the first things added for sure. I loved Lemmings as a kid too, I just had to see if I could jam out a version with HRLD hahaha. Thanks so much for playing!

Hardest version of Lemings I ever played, but I also love Lemmings so this is cool.

Developer

Thanks so much for playing Wrath! Haha I was worried it may have been too hard! I think the best tip is to let one or a couple HRLDNGS  prepare the map while another couple block everyone else at the spawn. Thanks for the feedback!
