Aww, this game has a lovely foundation! Will you ever come back to it? I love the potential story concept of this game. This is an amazing achievement for one person in such a short game jam.

Thank you a bunch! Well, I have some other idea I've been working on for quite some time now so I'm not sure that I'll continue to develop this project, not in the near future for sure... Although I hope I'll be able to complete the other ideas I had that I think have more potential as my standalone projects and then I could explore this one further

It might be short but I really like the aesthetics and gameplay that’s there. Also I won the dot game. Yay! The walking animation is a tad slow but I like the rest of your project. Well done.

It seemed like you had some great ideas planned, and I want to know what happens next!! The board counting time passed/remaining, along with the ambiance, made me feel unsettled - in a good, atmospheric, storytelling kind of way! I could have seen this becoming a psychological horror game, a puzzle game, or even some sort of ship sim.

I enjoyed the walking animation quite a bit, even if it did feel a little too slow! 🤣 Also, the line minigame was cute and I replayed the game until I finally beat the NPC!

Thank you for your submission to the HF 2023 Game Jam!

I really liked the atmosphere in this game. It's a shame you ran out of time because I would have loved to see more of this. The lines game was interesting, and it gave me more of a challenge than I was expecting. Now I kinda want to try and "solve" the game and figure out if there's an always winning strategy...

Animation was v nice, and it looks like you had some really interesting ideas! Also I felt bad for beating the npc at the line game, they seemed so sad :(

This is such an ambient game omg. I love the soft and ominous yet calming atmosphere from the lighting? It makes me hold my breath not knowing if this is gonna be a horror game or just a chill puzzle game lol. I absolutely adore the minigame you can play within the game, that in itself would be really fun to further explore. It's a shame that you didn't have much time to develop much else, but you should definitely be proud of what you made! I would definitely be interested in playing this game out to completion

This was good, though I found the walking speed excruciatingly slow. Loved the animation on it, though. Is that a rigid body animation, or just a cool rig you’ve put together?

Well done!

Developer

Thanks, active ragdolls are usually more chaotic so I used a simple FK rig and made some animation for it. I also used Unity's Animator component to smoothly transition between animation states and in the movement script I made it so that each time player starts walking the animation offset is randomized, this way character's walk cycle starts a bit differently each time.

For what little was there I loved it. The art and animation was real good!
