Good start for a game! I've always liked multiplayer platformers where you can mess with each other, though of course the platforming here is relatively barebones. The Gameboy Color/NES style Sprite work is really well done too, love the expressions when pushing each other lol
Man, a "SpeedRunners" style game with hololive members could be a great game for an evening with friends. I hope to see the game get released.
I do hope to develop it further!
Loved bullying my Friend by Pushing. Seems Fun for a Demo!
Have you actually played it with a friend? :O
I haven't actually had an opportunity to test the game with anyone else...
yes i had a friend staying over the weekend where the feedback period started
Works fine so far, pretty good base for a multiplayer brawling game.
While I understand this is a demo, I feel like the system is developed well enough to dedicate just half a day to add a simple goalpost for players to play with during the jam.
Maybe just a simple score system for when players get pushed off the stage, or just some "break the targets"/"board the platforms"/"collect x pon de rings"/"reach the flag" thingy and see which player completes it first etc.
There IS a goal at the end of the stage there! Looking at some of the comments, I now realize I probably should've made it more obvious... 😅
Ohhh, I played around and fell into the pit, and just made them bash each other until the end of time. Didn't realise there is actually a winning condition. Yea you should probably mention it in your page at least.
Added a little note to the game page, hope that'll be enough xD
Good starting point for this game. The multiple cameras surprised me at first.
It detected my gamepad without issue, which is good. Tried jumping and pushing around and it worked fine.
The pixel art sprites and animations are cute.
I hope you keep working on this prototype and turn it into a full game in the future.
Thanks! Good to hear there were no issues with the gamepad, as we had some problems with testing that.
It's difficult to play a multiplayer game in a game jam, but I like the idea of a platformer where you can fight against each other. It's currently pretty simple, but it seems like it could be fun with more stuff in it. Also the art style looks great!
Yeah, I think it'd be cool to add online multiplayer eventually so it's easier to play with other people.
Thanks!
Can't comment on much in its current state, but I could see it being a fun game if/when it's finished!
Thanks!
