I enjoyed this game! Very nice idea that matches well with the theme!
Nice illustrations too!
As others have mentioned, having some kind of feedback on each turn would help the player learn. At least a buzzer letting you know you missed something.
But also, the rules should be shown first before the first round starts. I got an awkward rating on the first customer because I just spent too much time reading and understanding the rules while the dots accumulated as I was not paying attention to them.
I managed to get 3 endings at once lol.
Good job!
Thanks for playing!
I love the Papers Please-style aesthetic combined with the funky horse race mania that the likes of Lui and Okayu have done a wild amount! Rules were pretty easy to follow, though I agree that I wish there were a small way to understand what you may have done wrong on a decision. (like putting all of the tickets in the fraud box and giving away 92398320 diamonds to each customer, instantly sending the business into the ground LOL) -- that and an improved sense of the need to make a correct decision or be punished severely for it, so that you're a bit more careful as a player!
I super enjoyed the quirky art for all the endings, and the style has a cute charm as a result. Thank you for submitting! ๐โโ๏ธ
Thanks for playing!
There was partially an intention to keep the player feedback vague so you'll kind of get a surprise factor when the endings are revealed.
There is also a teeny-tiny small factor of about 95% due to time constraint and laziness to implement a proper feedback system/detailed result screen lol.
Might be my favorite one yet (even though I suck at it)! Really my only gripes would be that reading the rules is very frontloaded instead of introducing each rule over time, and that you don't get any kind of feedback for when you mess up until the very end (which makes it difficult to deduce what you did wrong). Overall this is fantastic though! I also love the art style
Thank you! This is one of the jam entries that I barely have confidence in, so it is really uplifting seeing comments like these! Really important points you have brought up as well. I do have a bad habit of often overloading players with mechanics too much and too soon, so this is something I should really improve upon.
Very fun and interesting! I went and clicked on something without looking at the rules and got awkward real fast but that's on me because I didn't read xD Very nice~
Thanks!
Super cute art :D
It also took me a bit to get how to play the game but I did not expect to get so into to the gameplay loop once I did and trying to figure out all the endings haha
Thanks! Hope you're not doing it blind and trying to get them all since there are only 8 endings ๐ , the rest were cut due to time constraint but still has a slot as a placeholder.
Aw dang, I didn't realize that and I just realized even the description said the same thing too lmao
That's all on me for trying to brute force the other endings I was missing ๐
A bit confusing at first, but pretty neat once you get the hang of it! Love the artstyle
Thanks!
