Fun action game! Really cool combo score thingy from DMC!

Unfortunately for me I don't remember the combos so I just button mashed hahahaha!

The world is well constructed and fits with the smol characters. Running and jumping felt a bit slow and clunky.

The game's sound volume was a bit too loud and there was no way to turn it down from within the game as far as I could tell.

I lost against Ame and after the "returning to menu" message I just got a black screen. :(

Hopefully you continue improving on this game and make the comboing more fluid. Maybe add more boss fights too. XD

Love the animations and the combos, cool to see so many kinds of attacks implemented in this timeframe
Slowest part is definitely the movement, seems like the player gets stuck in the falling state often. Also easy to get stunlocked by the first mob
Also diegetic main menu is always a plus

This is really amazing! Visually impressive and pleasant to look at, love how the hit sparks is just the right amount to not be intrusive. I like the complexity of the combo system as well, its fun to experiment with different timing of taps etc and discover combos along the way.
Though as of this build, movement does feel a little slow and clunky, and sometimes my jump does not register properly. But otherwise, this is a really good base to build on top on!

Interesting Design. But as someone who never played any DMC Game the Controls do really feel weird and some getting used to. Sometimes after the fast stabbing Combo you also stop moving and it takes like 2-3 seconds until i can move again which takes quite some progress of the combo counter away.

Most likely due to unpolished input detection, or bugs, or both  :^)

Wholeheartedly recommend that you try out the amazing original series to feel what it's supposed to feel like!

Oh wow, you really did get a whole DMC-style combo system up in this! This is pretty fun, though it feels just a tad heavy for the input system... might just be an input buffer or animation snappiness thing, not quite sure. I like the Bee Ames you gotta destroy, I adore that they can knock you flat just as well as you can, and straight-up wipe out your sick combo.

Now that I think about it, just missing a bit of well-timed quirky Gura word clips each time the combo bar upgrades! There wasn't too much as far as endings go beyond how well you finished the mission (which again, is badass) -- but I can super picture adding and building more onto this base... epic cutscenes too ayo? Well done! Thank you for submitting 🙇‍♂️

Funny enough my first thought when I decide to make this a DMC clone is to recreate the DMC3 opening cutscene with pizza. First thing I did was to download a food asset pack with pizza slices lmao.

But after the first week it was pretty clear that's nigh impossible to even make make all 4 styles let alone cutscene.

Also didn't know where to find clean clips of shark smug so the thought of voice lines also never got anywhere... nor the Ina boss fight 2 with 2 phases of different tentacles already animated..
