Great entry! Love the use of the theme and the visual aesthetic. The only critique I would have is that when the enemies are grayed out the first impression the player gets is that they can't be interacted with. When in fact they can still interact with the player and hurt him. There's also not a good indication when the player is receiving damage so it makes it even more confusing. I died on the first try because I thought they can't touch me because they're grayed out.
How about changing their appearance when they're vulnerable instead?
This game is great! I love the doodle artstyle alot, the three weapons all feel good to use, all the enemies work get alone and as a team, tthe powerups are aplenty so I never feel any drought waiting for the next, I feel powerful but the difficulty scales with me to keep me in check, I'm glad you turned down the opacity to show who I can attack currently, the music is a good fit and the sound effects are nice , everything is just good. Going onto my favorites list in this jam for sure
Great game, great art, I am afraid I'd have to say average music but perfectly servicable and not grating. I love how the difficult is derived from the theme itself.
I love the background - it sets a nice tone that reinforces the paper theme. As I was playing, I was imagining an iteration of this game where the enemies cut themselves from the background and peel themselves into the scene. Very cute idea.
This was a fun experience for sure, the enemy types were a nice variety, the balance between powerups and chaos were a perfect mix of fun!
I like the doodly art. Gives it a nice touch. And changing which weapon can hurt which enemy was also quite nice.
Really fun game! My high score was 1400. I really liked the use of the theme, it fits really well with the rest of the game. It was challenging but not unfair. I also like the paper style. Good Job!
i dont rly like how I cant do anything if I dont have the right gun, but i love the music and artstyle
