Explosive bullets and their amount +3 way too OP. But you need to think about gem you want to take, that's a big plus. Sometimes there are way too much enemies.
Cute art and nice music, thank you for your entry!

I love the artstyle its got some real charm to it, I feel like the enemy death projectiles while a unique and fun concept could be a tone down a bit I didn't sign up for a bullet hell, golem's a little slow but I can't get too mad at that
Quite fun to play and nice visuals and audio! Also good amount of enemy types and behavior. I got a score of 320 at Wave 11.
I feel the enemy projectiles on death are a bit too strong. Instead of focusing on killing opponents I'm mostly focused on not killing anything until they are clumped up and then kill them one by one, otherwise it's way to dangerous.
The art is really neat! I love the animations. Also I'm not sure how to earn more upgrades. Do you just earn them after waves or is it random?
This is really cool! I love how the theme is implemented, the little goblin animations are so cute, and the detail of adding the gems to the shield is very cool touch.
Upon restarting, the game breaks.
All in all a fun experience! I couldn't figure out how I earned upgrades, and my actual stats weren't shown so tuning wasn't a thing, but good game! (The music got a bit annoying after a while, nice job balancing movement speed).
sad to hear that you had the feeling that the game is anoying you because thats not our intention at all :(
we hope you still enjoyed the game.
and as for me "the composer" of this game its hurting a lot because i really tried to keep the music interesting over a 6min loop with seperate tracks coming in for low health and a lot of enemys..but i guess imma have to work out.
The art looked amazing, the gameplay was increasingly difficult, and I could only get to wave 4. Prett damn cool!
Magic Survival! Wow I can't believe someone else played that game haha. That's the first of these kind of games that I played before Vampire Survivors made it hip on PC. Technically this entry is only half of that genre since you have to actually aim and shoot yourself but it's definitely inspired by those games, including Brotato as well. Thanks for the kind words!
As for the amount of ratings... people seem to like our cover art and we have 2 people playing and commenting on a lot of other submissions. Which is like "advertising" but in a constructive way. I genuinly love playing other people's creations and encouraging them. I honestly never had this much comments on a gamejam submission before! If you like getting lots of feedback I can recommend participating in Ludum Dare 54, 29th of september. Last time I participated (granted, a long time ago) I got lots of constructive reviews despite having only made a small game!
I played the heck out of Magic Survival. I was kind of mad that Vampire Survivors is what people think started that craze, until I watched the Noclip documentary about it, and the developer Luca Galante gave credit to Magic Survival as the initial inspiration. Good on him for that.
Great suggestions, thanks!
The awesome thumbnail drew me in right away - and I'm glad it did :) This was a very fun experience - and I could see it growing into a full roguelite game. While I was confused about how it fit the "3,2,1" theme, I suppose your could justify that the "3 gems" system accomplished that. When the spear goblin charged at me it took me by surprise XD That was fun.
Thanks for playing! Personally I definitely want to add some more stuff to the game that would differentiate it from the rest of the genre, so many ideas. You can follow the game on itch if you'd like to receive updates!
To clarify, our 3-2-1 theme interpretation is implemented in the way the gems multiply your bonusses. Most upgades have an upside and a downside. Putting it in the x3 slot triples the upsides, but also the downsides. Idem for the x2 and x1 slot. We didn't really find a way to emphasize this because we had so much other stuff to build! Should have just put a text intro explaining that before the game starts haha.
Really love this one, I got to level 8 before I had too many clubs swinging on screen to dodge
10/10 would get beat up by big green man again
