Description
I did a lot of splitting up my initial creative push-forward as a piano piece into many sub-units that got cut and pasted around so it felt like there were more consistent recurring motifs
Then a lot of decent instrument layering that differed between the cut up pieces.

Screenshot of DAW (required, but it can be uploaded shortly afterwards)
Wasnt sure how to paste directly into this box but the JPEG is already in the file list on the project

IDK why but this makes me think of something you'd hear on NPR to some radio theater show.

People are saying they can hear a structure - it's because you're telling a story, but instead of that being more abstract, it's like the background to a radio story, where you can hear the plot points changing and shifting.

You'll have to tell me what forms of music inspired it!

Nicely done! :)

Very Kind K.O. I think I gave TurtleBox a stroke almost.

I meant for more oriental tones initially to bring us into line with the graphical theme of the Japanese bridge.  The thought was to keep subdividing and it may become something I do predominantly now if i can't manage a positively upward-built motif that repeats but the trick is to both copy/paste -and- transpose and then build...dissimilar bridges,

I did manage some plucked ambient sections but not quite to the ratio certain-of-us would have given a higher correlation/relevance score for lol.

I like the sound design and the use of some "jazzy" gestures! Very fun piece!

most of my reactions can be summed up with 'what the heck was that??'. i'm definitely not imagining the structure - there's something there, i just can't put my finger on it. definitely unique (as in it's something i've never heard before) but i'm still reeling from whatever it was.

not a 'bad' submission by any means, but very difficult to understand and rate (i'm personally at a loss still) and i still can't sense any correlation to the theme. the strange usage of synths got quite jarring and the loose timing doesn't make for an easy listening experience.

especially in the context of this jam, i don't consider it the best fit - but i imagine a lot of effort goes into making such a long and complex piece. hoping this finds the people who can better enjoy it -w-

This was quite an experience, felt it was a bit overwhelming sometimes, which kinda fits the painting

Man this sure is something.

As someone who really likes to experiment in these music jams, I think this is where the fence kind of gets hopped. This isn't even really bad, it's just such a bizarrely risky thing to submit to a Jam with a clear theme.

Nine minutes of freeform jazz with random instruments, no structure, and a ton of disjointed melodies and ideas is something I think most folks here are going to pass on.

Great dedication to the bit though.

There's some interesting stuff in this for sure. I can't say it was easy listening for me. It's over 9 minutes of what felt like sometimes disjointed ideas (maybe they were developed but I couldn't pick up on that?) with occasional blast of some synths. I also don't see a correlation with the theme. Not my cup of tea but there are good elements that could maybe be adapted to another piece. Nice work.
