The art was really nice in this game. It's super impressive what y'all got done in such a short time. I think it wasn't always clear what needed to be next at any point. There were a few times where I just went from room to room, interacting with every object to see what happens. There's a really cool story idea here with the different rooms being from different time periods. I would like to see a version of this game with more polish. This was overall a really cool game.
I liked the music and the artwork! I'm a little confused where our character is from, temporally speaking. Based on our starting location I'd say late to mid 1850's, but they referred to things from the 1960's and 1970's as "old" and "vintage".
Thank you very much! We had the main character be from the modern era, so the 2020s. The moving through time would take us closer to this current time period. :)
This reminds me of the old "room escape" flash games
I liked the art and the music a lot. I also liked the theme of moving through time, I guess? It seemed like there was a really interesting story to be told about why you're moving through time, so such an abrupt ending was a disappointment! I also found it hard to know what to do, I just spend most of the time clicking around trying to find something I hadn't clicked on yet, which was a bit frustrating with the slippery character movement and sticking to objects. While the game itself could use some polish, I think you're really onto something with the story and art!
Felt accomplished getting to the end. If you go full screen on the web browser the inventory selection disappears. I was a little confused in the beginning because I didn't know there were multiple rooms to go through and that the puzzles can be solved by backtracking. But once I understood that, I got through the rest with ease. The game really gets you thinking which is awesome!
We're glad you enjoyed it! We really could've made the beginning puzzles a little more obvious to help the player along but happy that you managed to get through the whole thing. Thanks for playing!
I went through the whole game without knowing you had an inventory XD I think there's a lot of bugs because I did not understood what was happening. If you have Discord, I have a funny flying lamp screenshot to show you XD
Thanks for playing! It's true there's a lot of bugs, we've never made a game like this before so figuring out how to make everything from scratch without a tutorial has been a challenge. We will definitely put some more thought into making our games more user friendly moving forward! As for the lamp, we're aware of the bug, a major oversight on our part. Glad it gave you some entertainment at least! ^^
It's good to set yourself some challenges 👍
I love the character, he is super cute. I got up to the 3rd room but I am stuck ^^
We're glad you liked the character, a lot of effort was spent animating him! In the 3rd room you have to interact with the window with a coin in your inventory to obtain an item that lets you open the safe. Hope that helps if you give it another try! :)
