Brilliant idea! I loved the concept but sadly wasn't able to get very far because of the beginning platformer part, where few jumps were quite difficult for me. I got through them but died at the beginning by the monster because of the before-mentioned shooting feedback troubles. On the other hand, the art is great!! The animations looked great! (btw check out miniboss's tutorials if you want to improve your pixelart even more: https://blog.studiominiboss.com/pixelart) Also, I think, that jumping mechanic is worth exploring. And that buddy (Gama i think) you have with you during your journey is such a cool concept! :D And lastly do not forget to
Really cool idea! I felt like I got pretty far, but after dying I didn't want to go back through it, for me one of the biggest issues was feedback on the shooting (I think you covered that in the game description though). Nice work, I really dig the background art a lot.
Yeah... the shooting was really off and i planed to put a load from checkpoint but didnt get to it, But glad you liked it, the back ground was really cool indeed. Thanks for the feedback i really love seeing people who got far in the game.
Nice concept for the game, having the earthquake trap the player is pretty cool! The animation when you jump should be instant. Player don't want to have to anticipate their jump. Normally in animation you learn about anticipation and follow through but in video game you skip anticipation because otherwise it feels weird for the player. Apart from that, nice game and good job!
I had the jump instant but changed it to make it unique, didn turn out great. I liked the idea a lot, glad you like it as well. Im proud of the art and animation too. Thank you very much for your feed back, i will implement the tips when i can edit it again. im loving this experience.
really cool concept. i am honestly jealous i didn't think of using time travel like this for platforming. the execution is wonky though. the jump is delayed and it doesn't feel great. if it was a gameplay feature (a boosted jump that makes you delay maybe) then i could see the possibilities with that. however the game isn't designed that way and requires really precise platforming which would make it difficult even with a normal jump. the story seemed interesting, and i definitely wanted to know more, but the jumping held me back. the animations and art in general was pretty cool though.
It was a click for me when i had the idea and im sad you could not finish it but it was pretty hard and frustrating sometimes... i will fix a lot of the issues and post again when we can, i think my story was really cool and i bet you would have enjoyed it. :) About the jump, yeah it was a mistake, it was better but me trying to make it unique ruined it a bit. But thank you a lot for giving it a chance and for the feed back.
Ah, I'm sorry, I try to finish games before offering feedback but after several minutes of trying I couldn't get the hang of the jump enough to get out of the little starting section and I had to give up. There are some pretty tight jumps in there for how finicky the controls are.
I like the lanky space dude and I think the kind of jetpack-jump thing is cool, I just found it too slippery for some of those one-block platforms.
After the submission i found it as well but it is to late to make it easy.... and its basically this one jump. Sorry you could not finish, had some good dialog in it. But Thank you very much for the feedback!
