I really liked this game, from the visuals to sound and map layout i thought it was all great and pretty tense.

I like the sense of being lost and i played a couple of times to see what happened in each area. I didn't really know if i was doing things correctly though as i died pretty quickly sometimes.

I thought the jumpscare was pretty cool, i didn't even realize the monster was right behind me once until i had walked around something and it was right in front of me. When i had seen it was actually following me it had definitely made me move around quicker and not turn around or loop around things.

Awesome horror idea with the theme.

A great horror game! The aesthetics, sound design and assets were well implemented. The game definitely made me feel uneasy when playing and I did get a bit jumpy the first time I played XD. The flashlight mechanic was really cool since it added to the overall horror aesthetic and made me feel anxious since I couldn’t see everything. Like some of the other comments I feel that it would have been better if the sanity meter dropped slower since I wanted to have more time to get my bearings around the space and explore since I felt like I had to rush around the map. But overall, a well-designed horror game for a game jam :D

This game is a masterpiece, well done to the developers, its a bit scary, yall should apply for jobs at Naughty Dog and work on the Last of Us Part 3

Wow! I love horror game and other horror stuff but I felt really nervous playing this game. I like how my vision was limited because I'm using a flashlight it really gives it that horror feel. The audio also gave me chills it gave me a very camp like feel with all the nature sounds.

The sanity meter was moving down really quick. I felt that maybe should've gradually went down after something very terrifying happened ( it would've made me feel like I'm actually losing my mind). Overall well done. In my books this was an awesome game! :)

Thanks I appreciate the feedback!

We mistakenly messed around with the Sanity just before submission. Whoops! We will definitely make time towards better playtesting in the future.

The game made me feel anxious and I was too afraid to turn around with my flashlight as if something was going to pop out, which I feel perfectly sums up the overall experience of the game. The sanity meter did feel like it went down pretty quickly, especially because my character didn't really experience enough to reduce their sanity that drastically (might be just me XD).  Overall really well done, loved the graphics and the flashlight idea.

Its good to hear we that we made some people scared/anxious! Ironically, the fact that the sanity mechanic was poorly implemented is hurting my sanity , lol!

We definitely need to plan story/pacing and a bunch of other things for future Game Jams. x)   Thanks for the feedback!

I loved this for sure, it was a good horror game attempt. It is for sure a hard genre to get done like the way you have done. Great game.

A good attempt for first time jammers, really managed to get that classic horror game feel down. I think it may be almost too complex in some ways, such as the sanity meter which felt like it really hurt the pacing of the game and encouraged speeding through multiple playthroughs, instead of the slower in-depth exploration alongside the moments of tension that the environment really deserves. But generally ticks all the horror boxes and has great spooky audio. (Jack Rathbone)

Thank you, it's always good to know where the game fails to deliver or shine as it should have, I think if Simon and I have an extra few days, we could've tweaked and perfected the game even more, but also juice it up a bit more. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!
