The game is hard, but provides a unique expiernece and is a nice idea for this jam. Well done!

Thank you

I like the push-stuff-around mechanic.

As others already wrote - the pacing is to slow.

I liked the way you move the items. This game remembered me the overcooked style, but with different mechanics. Good job! :)

I like the idea of pushing stuff around to craft it, but the controls and how the physics worked made it feel mostly clunky. Great job anyway!

The pushing mechanic is unique and how to play is straight-forward.  The combination of pixel graphics and smoothly-rotating sprites seemed to clash but as a whole, the game is charming and fun.

I think it felt relly slow, but it was a great idea I love the idea of pushing everything.  Good work!

Developer

Ok. Thank you. We’ll optimize it in next update.

The pushing mechanic felt quite uncommon; on the one hand innovative, on the other hand somewhat clunky. The general pacing was a bit too slow for my taste, but nevertheless an interesting experience.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback.

I actually liked having to push items around opposed to dragging. I liked the way everything in the game is done by simply moving, the way you clear tables, and look at recipes, etc. My only concern is that the difficulty could be turned down a tad bit but otherwise it's a good idea well executed.

Developer

Thank you. We’re glad you liked it. We’ll try to optimize the difficulty in next update.

Difficult but fun! I wasn't too sure about how the crafting system would work what with pushing things to a crafting table then to the customers. But it actually works out very well, it's hard when you start out but it gets fun quick, though having an ingredient disappear right before you shove it into the table is truly maddening. But that just adds to its charm and fun factor not to mention a very interesting use of expiration.

Over all nicely done, could totally see this become a mobile game, :D!

Thank you! :D Maybe we’ll fix the difficulty in the next update.

The difficulty isn't a bad thing, i kinda like the challenge and it's not too bad once you get to it. But for more casual players might be a good idea to lengthen the expire time on items. Over all it doesn't detract from it at all, which is pretty dang amazing and hard to do!

Anywho can't wait to try an update if you are planning on updating and adding onto this project, :D

This was quite a treat, since I haven't played a game in this fashion before. Pushing items to locations in a timely manner really sold the expiration theme quite well. My issue with this game though is that items would become hard to get behind, and some expired quicker than I could manage to get them to their location. I did find a clever trick in moving a train of them to keep the one I need for longer just to get it to its destination (like meat) but, this then gave the problem of managing multiple items just to do this. Maybe if the player movement was faster while not pushing items and making it easier to rotate them around i.e. if one buddied up to a wall you could push it away from it easier. But all in all, this was a pretty delicious game! I liked it.

Developer

Thank you for very detailed feedback. We’re glad you liked it. We know the movement could be better…like the food could snap to you..but we didn’t make it on the time. If the expiration is really short, we’ll try to optimize it in the next update.

I think if it had better movement controls, the expiration time could work. It's just feels like it expires fairly quickly since I have to keep adjusting myself to get it to move in the correct direction. I have been able to get the dishes done in time, I made about 7 before needing a break. I would say that if you work on this more, to first see about improving the movement before adjusting the times. I do enjoy the pushing mechanic, it just feels as a little hard since the items are in a way you can't get behind them without sacrificing other items. I'm just one of those gamers that dislike the feeling of "losing out" of something despite it probably not mattering in the end. I would like to note that near the end of my play session I noticed the food in the right area either started clumping closely together, or a lot of them were spawning in. I would like to revisit this when and if it gets built up a bit more. Thank you for your time, and have a nice day!

Cool game - I think having slightly faster player movement & making it slightly easier to gather/move crafting components would be nice though!

Honestly I think the pushing made it quite a bit more difficult than it needed vs pickup, but definitely embraced the expiration theme and the crafting mechanics are really good in my opinion.
I wouldn't have said no to a longer tutorial, maybe just 1 try with a crafted ingredient.

Made me wish for overcooked style multiplayer!
