Definitely a good Minecraft clone with pleasant enough audio and visuals.  My only gripe is the lack of variety: there are only two biomes, and once your goal becomes clear the grinding gets a bit monotonous.  I'm sure that's because of time constraints, though, so it's not too bad.

It was supposed to have 4 biomes, you could have just had a bad seed when playing which I wouldn't be surprised despite my attempts at balancing it. The biomes were desert (sands + cacti), forest (mountainous and trees), meadow (flat and grassy), and lake (water), which makes me curious as to what biomes you had? And yeah, the grind can be real, the Jam Entry world at least breaks it up a bit by making the oil a hazard to navigate around. But if this gets an update, I'll likely add more variety as enemies got scrapped due to the aforementioned time constraints. Thank you for playing and giving feedback :3

Other than the same complaint as everyone (sooo tiny on an ultrawide) this is very cool... so much work in just a week. I could imagine this being the prototype for terraria.

Once I figured out how to play, I found a lot of functioning systems that seemed to have quite a bit of depth to them. I'm super unfamiliar with the Minecraft genre space, so it's hard for me to evaluate this game in that context. But I liked the loop of working on upgrading your items so you could dig and harvest faster. Eventually I dug myself way down into the earth, and was amused to see how things changed as you go down.

I like the way the water rearranges when you clear out the space underneath it.

Not sure if it's possible to make the window resizable. It was very tiny on a 4k.

I thought I softlocked myself because I placed a piece of sand on myself when clicking to try to use my ship, and got stuck. Then it took me a long time to figure out how to open my inventory to do crafting. Should definitely put that on the itch.io description page alongside the other controls.

Good job making this. :-)

Thank you for checking it out! I knew I forgot a key for the control scheme when I wrote it out. I did not program any window size changes as I got burnt out before the jam trying to get window resizes to work in another game (:/). I'm glad you had fun though! I guess some features are highly requested for a reason (XP)

A nice little Minecraft clone, with a cool (randomly generated?) world.

There are just a few things i didn’t like:

  1. The music is very monotone and gets annoying really fast
  2. Why can’t i go in full screen mode and have the play the game in 800x600 box?
  3. The iron and copper ore are hardly distinguishable
  4. The recipes & game objective are hidden in some menus. I discovered them just by accident. Without the recipes and knowing what you need to activate the portal, it is really hard to know what you are supposed to do.
