Cool game, the background music is great, that ship who does a "barrel roll" shot caught me by surprise, it was really cool.

Fun game. I really liked the aesthetic with the purple trail and purple lasers against the black. I liked the on-screen buttons as well, they gave it an old "handheld game machine" feel. The shooting felt good and the dodging, I think the enemy ships took a bit too long to appear, I actually thought the game was only asteroids first, but I saw the thumbnail here and went back to also see the enemy ships. Very good and polished idea.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yeah, I have the spawner wait a bit before adding the ships, but I definitely set the timer too high. I'll be sure to turn it down when I get the chance!
This totally original gem is quite unlike anything I've ever seen, definitely not a ripoff of another game, but even if it was it'd be a great successor :D
The music and effects are great, the minimalist assets are a perfect fit, and the ship's emission trail ensured I never lost track of where I was on the screen.

I love games that aren't asteroids! I'd love to see some more space-rocks early on (meteors?) and maybe a button that lets you float freely while you keep it pressed so you can do some sick turns
Thanks for the feedback! I can certainly play around with spawn rates, though I don't think I want to add another button to the mobile controls. But I can try lowering the drag so you drift more after you stop boosting
