It's massive! You made real good use of the assets. The game was fun and well laid out. Nothing bad to say about it. Kudos
Good fun! Really cute! Controls felt tight and polished, and levels were punishing but not impossible (though I found the minecart mechanic really tricky!). I think that the world map should have used one of Kenney's asset packs, as it was the least polished part of the game, but overall I enjoyed it! Well done!
Really good with lots of polish, feels snappy and responsive. I got stuck where you get the minecart thing, couldn't get back out of that area. I thought maybe I needed to use the cart from the high point and jump to get back on the ledge, but no luck. :(
Very fun and tricky platformer game!
Wow, the level of polish here is amazing! Everything feels crisp and clean, from the controls to the camera and the audio and stage design! There were a couple of slightly frustrating bits, but this feels like an actual game!
Nice
great game, i enjoyed the mine cart areas, they were really fun and challenging
A really fun and engaging platformer! I love the mine cart powerup, the movement options it opens up on top of the already tight and snappy character controller are brilliant. The music also gives a brilliant atmosphere to the levels.
But unfortunately, I was not able to finish the final level, I feel that adding some more checkpoints would have made it much more manageable. I also feel a bit of narrative would have helped in explaining the purpose behind exploring each level. But overall it is still a really fun and polished platformer, and I would love for it to be expanded upon.
lmao checkpoints we’re actually placed but by some quirk they didn’t actually work… oh well, thanks for playing!
Lovely game. I really enjoyed how much was in this game, usually game jam games are a few minutes long or less but there was quite a bit of content and great detail. I appreciated the backgrounds though I did notice they got less intricate the more you got in the game (time constraints eh). I also loved the world map, even if it was a little bit bigger than it needed to be.
The minecart double jump was really fun to use and took a little bit to get used to, it wasn't immediately obvious you can use it mid-air. I also felt it wasn't obvious where you should be going a couple of times, like having to make big jumps to the left in the level you got the minecart. I also didn't know what to do after gaining the powerup in the mines, it took me some time to figure out you can wall run.
Overall, super solid game! Looking forward to a "finished version" if you'll ever work on it!
thanks for playing! the last level with the boots was definitely rushed, there could have been more clear level design when you get the boots that make it so you have to use them right as you get them. will definitely polish it for the future!
This was awesome. Both the minecart and the wall walking boots were really cool powerups that were a lot of fun to use.
Great level design! very challenging.
Bravo! Love the level design.
Wow, this is super cute, super polished, and the level design is really great.
What an absolutely wonderful game!
you are too nice, thank you!
nice platformer!!!
ty!!
I like a lot about this game, the visual style is really nice and the music is great, and the controls are pretty good for a quick jam platformer. My biggest complaint is that often it was difficult to tell what parts of the environment were platforms and what parts were just background art. But it was still fun.
thanks! i tried to do all the background elements in the “middle” color of the palette but I realize there are some exceptions, thanks for the feedback!
