I quite enjoyed this, I found El Dorado! The final stages of having to follow the compass while in a stormy region was a bit of a puzzle and quite fun. It reminded me of The Lost Woods or the Gerudo Desert from Ocarina of Time. I also was really surprised by the grappling hook ability. I think it could have more player control, but it is fun to use. I also totally got trolled by the island with walls and just a sign. That gave me a chuckle.

I think an optional sail speed upgrade and a sprint ability would go a long way for the game. Maybe more use of the bombs if you ever expand on this?

It could just be me, don’t tell Kenney, but I really do not like the art assets in the game. However, I did like the bits of pixel art in this, and the game felt overall cohesive with the art used.

If you pick up the manual Sailing for Dummies, your ship will go faster! A decision made last minute just to give some purpose to the pick ups.
We realized at the end that the character doesn't fit too well with the sand: they are basically the same color, but, well... Thanks for your comment! Much appreciated :D

At first I thought this is going to be a simple quest where you have to find items and bring them to other items, but then came the hook. This hook is the funniest thing ever. At one point I thought I softlocked myself on the wall, but was able to land the hook near the character due to its awesome mechanic. Imagine if you had to grab theasure at the end with it.

Also got the same WebGL2 error as ManamanTR after blowing up a rock.

The rope is quite broken even if I spent much of the time of the jam making it work... I guess we all learn from these jams.
I really don't understand that error...maybe next time we'll include a desktop build anyway just in case

I can't play the game due to this error. I tried some settings but they did not fix it. Do you have an idea?

Error The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing: WebGL2 - Check web browser configuration and hardware support

Weird, you're the first one reporting this issue, I'm sorry. I googled the bug and it seems it's a itch.io issue, on Godot side the issue was fixed almost1 year ago. I can recommend using another browser or try opening the game in private mode

I love these games where you have to search for things in order to progress and familiarize yourself with the environment in the meantime. The grappling hook was a bit difficult to use, and some sound would've elevated the experience by a lot. However, it was still fun to play. P.S. Im kinda sad that I couldn't blow up the guys at the beginning with a bomb. jk. Great job!!

Developer

Yeah, you're right, adding some sounds could have been a quick and substantial improvement... Thank you for playing!

Good work guys. Fits the theme well and is nice to play

Developer

We added a walkthrough to guide the players getting to the end, hope it makes it more enjoyable

Cool game, the grappling hook mechanic was kinda janky, but that made it better!
