This is an adorable little game!  Absolutely will be continuing to play / improve.  I hope you'll continue development after the voting period!

I might suggest a higher resolution pixel sampling.  Not high-def, but a bit more than we have.  I agree with Festus in that it can be harder to read what we are going after.

Perhaps one of the upgrades or an item the player could carry might help highlight nearby resources with a color-based glow or something along those lines.

All in all, a fantastic entry!  That was a lot for a game jam!  You used those days very well!  Great job!

EDIT:  I am very glad (and I daresay proud) that you overcame your frustration and rejoined the game jam.  It is absolutely inspiring that you came back swinging and knocked it out of the park!  You took away some very valuable lessons that I think will help you greatly, not just in game development but in every aspect of life.  Keep your eyes on the horizon! :D

oh thanks a lot! - Sadly I have to say, that I will not work on this game further in the near future. I have 2 Major Projects I am working on to release on Steam. So untill that is done, I will have to pause on this one.

I Think I will add a little bit (easy fixes) to this game, so the readability gets better (the font is also not very well readable, highlights on active nodes etc)  so the expirience is better.

Also thank you for the Edit part - I appriciate your words alot! Thank you very much!

Great entry. Lots of stuff going on, and everything seems to work!

I got pretty into it, but then I couldn't escape out of the upgrade window and got killed :(.

My only gripe is that downsampling definitely affects the readability of the game, and I just couldn't find the correct resources to build a turret until my base was a half hp.

Developer

oh nooooo, you got killed while upgrading - so sad - I am sorry - I was thinking about making the game look a little bit less pixelated - to  do the eye a little better - but ... well after the jam ^^

So much content in this, very impressive! Good job on fleshing out this experience although I do wish I saw more of a connection to the theme.

When you Win the Game it gets clear ... sorry for not pointing it out earlyer

Very chill experience! There is a surprising amount of depth for a jam game. The gameplay is simple and relaxing and got me to play for half an hour haha. My only criticisms are that the game starts overwhelming. The art style is very nice but makes it hard to understand all that is going on. The map in specific was hard to read. The ore colours were the only part I was able to follow. Once you build all the turrets it just becomes a waiting game.

I know that’s a lot of comments but this was the game I’ve played the most so far so I really liked it. Nice job!

Hats off for creating such a complex experience in such a short amount of time. I played the game both in Chrome and Edge, in Edge the performance is a bit better and I'm basing my rating on that. Now that might just be personal preference, but I would have loved to be a bit more effective in firefights. Having to fight the aliens and risk your health is bad enough, I didn't like feeling so helpless. The theme wasn't really on the nose but I get it, robbing ressources from a native alien tribe is bad. Would still recommend the game to everyone, great game.

There is a Update Console where you upgrade your weapon for purple Crystals -> will make you more "helpfull" against those foes

Ah, I see! Are the power-ups temporary or permanent by the way?

Developer

Permanent

Most of the stars.

It was a bit to low rezzy for me. Just not my particular aesthetic.

I eventually figured out where to get my lemon juice, strawberry juice, and blue raspberry juice, but never did figure out how to turn the juices into something.

The couple of times I played I wound up having a standoff with an alien, and dying.

RIP.

Didn't quite see how I was the monster.

Unless it the aliens planet, and I'm an imperialist. That would be monstrous.

there is a tutorial that tells you how to  exchange the "juice" to crystals at the top (Go to the Fabricators and press E if your bag isn t empty, they have 30 seconds cooldown)- and then you need to build Tower xD If you win the Game you will find out the Topic :D

No worries. I looked at the tutorial, but didn't really READ it.

Its a problem with me. I also often hear people, but don't LISTEN.
