Not gonna lie, I spent entirely too long just jamming to the main menu music :)
This was an absolutely solid entry for the game jam! Loved the art style, and I knew I was going to like this when I read the tag line about pocket-sized monsters being pets, and that this one isn't. Fantastic!
the island now is full of blood anywhere.
i am a real monster i like the island sprites.
i thought enter was used to attack at first
but it pooped a controls list(nice idea)

Fun concept and nice looking sprites! The progression of the island being filled with bodies really adds to the experience lol
The first 1 minute I only knew how to move with arrows, but after I checked the itch page I was constantly pressing 's' and 'd' and it felt like: "I'M A GOD OF HYPER DEATH, YOU DIDN'T COME HERE TO CAPTURE ME, I CAME HERE TO CAPTURE YOU!!!! [INTENSE KEYBOARD SOUNDS]"
At the end of level 6 I couldn't find a single human and when I was walking over insane amount of dead bodies it hit me - I'm a monster...

That was fun, and a very cool Idea love the concept of the Game. the "dash" is so nice great game!
Simple but wonderful!
It was very reminiscent of the early 2000's flash games where there was a large trend in innocent characters committing terrible crimes which was always a humorous trope.
Only areas for improvement is that I don't really feel there's a defined goal other than kill, adding a simple scoreboard or timer to add a sort of arcade element where you beat your best scores or time could help make the game more complete.
If you wanted to take it further you could introduce more elements such as leveling up, learning new moves, and evolving which I think could lead to a very fun game!
Overall fun concept with good execution!

Thanks for introducing us to Leafletta, the true peak of the food chain. I felt a bit too invincible, but maybe that's just Leafletta's ascended godlike thing. Great game! Great take on the theme.
Haha thanks. I agree on the invincibility. The initial intent was to have a health bar for her, and she could regain health by drinking from the pools of blood of her fallen foes!
I always intended her to be very OP, but when I had to make some choices about how to spend my remaining time, Utterly unstoppable fit the narrative as well haha.

This is a small thing, but I really like how you made the text reveal on the title and end screens! It worked well, and I'll have to try that in future jams. I liked the game! I was a little surprised by the slowly emerging pools of blood...
