Honestly, top-100/top-20 for the theme interpretation and creativity. Art style looks nice, but was it just me or there is no audio in the game? (no music, no sfx)

- Neat art style. Awesome audio work - music perfectly fits the environment/estetic.
- I really liked the theme interpretation - having limited time to prepare for [something] (in this case - card game)
2 ideas I've got while playing (it's not critical, it's just something I would add if I could and there was time for that):
1) Highlight objects that have (or haven't) been collected by player previous time in order to encorage player discover new items
2) Add info to cards with question marks. Currently the only way to see what card does it to place it (has its own advantages, but being able to plan ahead is also important) <-- possible solution: As soon a player uses card at least once, info about this card is always displayed (in the current and future runs)
I assume that 3...2..1. has something to do with the beat. (I've tried my best, but still was missing the rhytm sometimes). Well done with the visuals - simple geometric shapes with enough details (nice!).
I'm more facinated how you've managed to make and submit within 1 day. Sounds like a lot of work, well done!
Casino? Goose? Rock music?
Have you ever played rock, paper, scissors in the casino? Yeah, me neither, then how about playing Rock, Paper, Scissors, Match, Goose with timers, chaos, rock music and poker chips? You've heard me right, go and see it yourself, but remember: The house always wins...

(P.s. this game was made in 72 hours for the IcoJam 2023. If you have any suggestions feel free to post them. Hope you'll enjoy the game :D)
I'm so happy you've enjoed the game :)
"(though I realise that would've been clear if not for a last export bug)"
Yes. Who would have thought that uploading untested code with 30 seconds on the clock is a bad idea... (Jokes aside it taught me a huge lesson and made me reconsider some parts of my gamedev workflow/approaches)
"the puzzles felt challenging and I felt clever doing them, while never feeling frustrating either"
I've actually never designed any puzzle levels before, so I've decided to make puzzles with multiple solutions + give 1-2 more reverses near the last 2-3 levels.
" like you did for the final moment returning the Orb of Reversal."
Yeah! I was also surprised how it turned out. For this scene: Artist drew a pedestal --> Musician made a choir --> Sfx designer made a sound, which is played after placing the Orb (he also suggested that player should place the Orb on the pedestal) --> I've put it all together
Thanks, happy you liked it :)
"how many reversals you had per level"
Funny thing is...There is a bar for showing how many reverses left + reverse table, but during the last 30 seconds I've uploaded untested build that broke both of those elements. It sounds super silly, but it is what it is (one of the biggest lesson that I'll remember for sure)
Nicely done! It's an interesting concept - your goal is the same, but you're achieving it from a different perspective/role. As pointed out already there are a few things to improve like levels diffuculty and object placement, but this can be easily done after the jam. Good job!
(UPD: I would also add a score system where you get points by hitting all pins faster and using less objects)
I saw this game on a stream, but decided to try it anyway.
- My opinion from the stream still stands after playing many other games: this is 100% a top-1 on visuals. Depth, quality, effects, animations, transitions - perfect.
- Audio is also great. Music fits the game feel, audio effects are also nice
- Gameplay. It's pretty simple (move around, attack and destroy crystals), but overall presentation makes it fun + extra features like teleport and super ability. The only thing I would add is "Hard game mode" with more crystals and more hp for the hero/enemy
- Game perfectly fits the theme. You're not only a monster, but also A NULLIFYING GOD WIPING OUT GALAXIES
Overall - awesome submission. Keep up the good work :)
The first 1 minute I only knew how to move with arrows, but after I checked the itch page I was constantly pressing 's' and 'd' and it felt like: "I'M A GOD OF HYPER DEATH, YOU DIDN'T COME HERE TO CAPTURE ME, I CAME HERE TO CAPTURE YOU!!!! [INTENSE KEYBOARD SOUNDS]"
At the end of level 6 I couldn't find a single human and when I was walking over insane amount of dead bodies it hit me - I'm a monster...
A few notes:
- It seems like you can't lose no matter what. (I was pushing trainers and monsters around, nothing happens)
- In the game it was mentioned that leafletta doesn't take turns (no diagonal movement). Why? It would work nicely with the dash ability
- I forgot that hiding option exists becase was pressing 's' + 'd' constantly
- Music is awesome! Good job with the audio
- Visuals are also good. I like different monsters/pokemons sprites. (if there was an extra time, I would add a little bit more visual effects for attacks to add a little bit of chaos into the game)
- I saw how other monster/pokemon killed a human. Everyone is vulnurable in this bloodbath - great detail
Overall - nice submission. Keep learning and never give up :)
[Accidently closed the tab and now I have to write the same comment again...]
- Visuals are great. There are things to imporve (for example add sprites for the spheres around the player, maybe add hit animation both for an enemy and player), but still. The background is awesome (both in game and on itch page) - looks nice and tiles perfectly + the bugs/spiders/malware scared me at first (especially when there are a lot of them and they are moving towards you) <-- not sure if it was intended, but adds to the game feel
- Audio - music is great, but sound effects feel repetitive. (It's not a big deal, just the thing I've noticed). Changing the pitch of the sound a little every time you play ("AudioStreamPlayer.pitch_scale" property) might do the trick (and if neccessary you can also make multiple variations of the same sound)
- Gameplay. First 1-2 minutes I was like: "OH GOD! THERE IS SO MANY AND THEY'RE HUGE, RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN" and it's good. The only issue is that gameplay gets boring prettty fast: no new enemies, no upgrades (only level number goes up) and etc. Maybe this is due to jam's time constraints, idk
Overall - good submission (I like the idea of malware fighting each other on someone's computer, there's definitely space for expansion). Never give up, stay determined and keep learning :)
10/5 for the theme. I have been feeling like a true monster till the very end. Gameplay is very intense - hand is getting tired, clock is ticking, butterflies are dying (I'm sorry...), orders are coming in. Visuals are also great.
The only thing I would improve is audio - make music get more intense as the time goes on + maybe add variation to sound effects.
Overall - great submission, keep up the good work
(Btw, this game kinda reminds me of a Potion Craft)
