To kick things off, I really enjoyed the starting environment. It felt like a dystopian setting and the audio that accompanied it really added to the experience.

What I loved

  • Great use of space in the starting room. I think VR benefits in smaller spaces with more details as opposed to large play areas that are sparse. The smaller room just feels more immersive.
  • Audio playing in the background adds to the atmosphere.
  • Shrimps! So many shrimps! Thank you for adding in some shrimp love!!!

Some Suggestions

  • As others have mentioned, it did lack direction. I wasn't too sure what I was supposed to do. I assume this was due to time constraints. If you're ever pressed for time, you can always add guidance in your game description on itch to nudge players in the right direction.

Thanks for your submission and your hard work on this jam! You have a great eye for aesthetics and setting mood. Keep it up!

I like the separate areas - the starting area had a lot of points of interest.  I also enjoyed the background music and sounds which really added to the experience.  Good job.

Like others, I was kind of lost as what to do once the cassette was played - perhaps more was planned but it was a time factor.. I also managed to walk outside and find all the weapons and stuff, and the audio was quite cool with all the background effects going off.

Seemed unfinished generally, but still has the beginnings of something...

I liked the setup of the main environment, and after clipping through the door, found the weapons waiting for use.  I gave them a try.  I guess I'm curious what you were intending, because it didn't seem to have any sort of gameplay beyond the weapons?  The soundtrack suggested some sort of dystopian future plot, but wasn't distinct enough to understand.  If you'd like to comment, what were you intending with the sword and shield and all?

Good job regardless.  You built a thing, and got it in in time!  Congrats!

The beginning looks promising but I haven't figured out how to play beyond playing the cassette recording

Ahh my favorite girl the Synty Sci-fi Pack beauty. A man of taste! I wasn't able to figure out what to do, I was only able to pickup the one cassette and I did get the first audio to play talking about how he fell in love with her so quickly, as did I. But, after that I was kind of stuck on what to do. I also walked through the walls and found some things I probably shouldn't have? If you update the about page with some hints on what to do, I would love to have another try!
