Did you work in a team?
Yes. 2 members, both programmers, one of them also was the artist. It was an overall very fun experience, although more time-consuming than we imagined it would be!

Was the resolution a challenge?
Attempting to do a falling-block clone in such a small space, while simultaneously conveying the ambience that it was happening during a late night playing session, and also showing the game score was without a doubt a very difficult endeavor. We ended up compromising by assuming the score was also the number of lines cleared with an added bonus, and incorporating both in the background in order to maximize how well we used the available space, as half the screen was occupied by the game board.

What did you learn?
We learned a lot about the inner workings of a falling-block styled game, such as how piece rotation is calculated or in what positions rotations are allowed or not. We also deepened our understanding of Godot, and how to work around such a tiny available space, while still giving the vibe we were going after! It was an overall really great experience.

Very funny game, and also just a good falling-block game. The nighttime ambience is really pleasant.

Loved the game and the concept! The twists you threw in were interesting and really did throw me for a loop. The graphics are great as well. Awesome job!

This simulates how I play tetris late at night, nice touch with the surprises, and it looks good too!

You gave a classic an unexpected twist, literally.

well, I found the game very entertaining, it is a great version of tetris, I will love to play it in my spare time because it has elements that I have never seen in a game of the style, it controls very smoothly and the visual style is incredible, in addition to the little twists and turns like the bigger pieces

Very interesting take on Tetris, I suck at this even more than I do in normal Tetris, so I didn't get to any really wonky parts. What I can say is that the blinking with the appearing and disappearing blocks and weird, Tetris-like shapes was a really cool concept and the gameplay felt pretty polished. One thing I have to mention though is that the controls felt a little unintuitive for me, constantly tried to press up for rotating and ended up messing up my game instead. Other than that it was a nice experience.

Thank you for the feedback! Using up to hard drop usually is the default control setting for the newest versions of the original. It can be quite messy though for people not used to the control scheme :/

Gee, I thought this was a normal relaxing game of Tetris with random blinking until the screen flipped... I thought I could be cruel with the games I made but you two take cruelty to a new level.

Good job! Often with fan-made Tetris games, I get the impression that the person making it hadn't really played Tetris before. Not so with this one. It felt fun to play, and the modifications definitely spiced it up.
