Was the resolution a challenge?
At first the resolution was no challenge. Working with Unity and using Render Textures, it was quiet easy to setup. As I started to let Sprites receive shadows, I ran into problems as there is no standard Lit material for Sprites in Unity. Thus I had to create a shader, but then had problems with pixel bleeding in the tilemap. I tried to circumvent this in the shader and spent like a full day trying to fix this. Eventually, I just added padding to my tileset, so the pixel bleed was not visible.
What did you learn?
I entered the Jam, because the technical limitation is a really nice challenge. I was astonished how few stuff you can display with 64x64 pixels, on the other hand, I also was astonished of how much you can actually display and what is still readable.
On the tech side, I learned how to create pixelated games in Unity and how easy that is, except for all the hazzle around pixel-perfect stuff.
Also I learned, that I can't really mange Jams that are longer than a weekend. Somehow I need the small time frame to scope right and to continuously work on the game. Maybe next time, I limit myself to one weekend during that long time frame.

I think you pulled of the gta vibe extremely well and the other cars moving around the city was super neat.
It's unfortunate that there's no audio :(. The game play somewhat broke down once you were on the outskirts of the city too since it was really easy to just sneak on and off the highway. I think adding a mini-map would of made traveling inside of the city more fun too since turning a corner and running into a dead end was saddening.That's very good effort. GTA vibes here (mostly China Town). Unfortunately I don't get any sound from my Mac. I don't know if there is sfx. Impressive job overall.

The 3D visuals are quite impressive! Many entries that try to do 3D have unclear textures at a distance, and I didn't notice any of those kinds of problems with this game.
I would have liked to have more clear direction on what to do, however. I was certainly crashing into a lot of things and definitely losing many points in the process, but I had no goal so the points weren't all that meaningful. I ended up spending most of my time just crashing into stuff, which is fun but could be more interesting.
Wow, what a great entry! As others have said, this game looks amazing in the small 64 by 64 canvas. It reminded me of the original GTA games, though they had far more pixels to work with! Aside from the visuals, the handling and overall gameplay experience felt really great. Well done!
This game looks great despite the low resolution - loved the towering buildings on all sides. Obviously the game would be a little easier if you could see further ahead where you are going, but that's just a side effect of sticking to the game jam's restriction!
