Did you work in a team?
Yes, I did! While I (SplendidDod) worked on things like the gameplay and art, Roy Wasilco made the music! (Also known as Raw sounds Creation.) It was a really fun experience!
Was the resolution a challenge?
It was, but it was less of a challenge than last year since I had learned from that experience and used what I had learned to make a (hopefully) better game!
What did you learn?
I learned even more about optimizing visuals in a 3D Low-Resolution environment. It's hard to make sure the game isn't a pixelated mess, and I took extra care in ensuring the readability of the game!

Love the music, fun game! I included it in my LowRezJam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
I had a fun time with this game. I got the good ending and didn't find a single secret. I liked the teleportation mechanic but I don't ever feel like it was used in any particularly interesting ways, and I never had to use the step back ability. Now I fully admit that the game could be much deeper by finding secrets, maybe the other endings are harder/more interesting to get to, but that is what I felt about my play through. I still thought the game was very fun, just that it had a lot more potential than at least I was able to uncover.
Amazing. Couldn't wrap my head around the level design, but it got me in the zone. I'm curious about the secrets too. Thanks for a great game!
thank you so much! The level design, (especially in the second level,) definitely may not be the best since it was done pretty late into the jam! I’m glad you liked it, though!
dude I LOVED this game! I thought it was pretty simple and just stumbled my way through the levels, until the end screen popped up with a "time" "secrets found" (The secret area gave me massive original Doom vibes) and "teleports used" option.
That immediately made the whole thing click in my head, and I started messing with the mechanics and planning the best routes for my speedrun.
My biggest complaints are the lack of content, and the inability to replay levels!! I Was really waiting to unlock freeplay to see what I could get for a best time, but that never happened.
Please release a level replay option at the end, I think this has a lot of potential as a speedrunning game too if you add more content :)
I had a ton of fun with this one, (second game in the jam I've given a 5 star on gameplay, out of the 80 or so I've rated!) Dunno why I had so much fun, but good job and fun game!
Thanks a lot!!
Speedrunning was something I had in mind while making the game and I totally plan on adding more stuff and allowing people to replay the levels for an after-jam version! Originally you could replay levels but that led to a *really* big exploit found on the last day, and I didn't have enough time to rework the system to both fix the exploit and allow for replays. It messed with the speedrunning idea but, it fixed the game so it's the best I could do at the time!
Again thanks so much for the suggestions and the nice comment! I'll take all of this into consideration for the post-jam version :)
This game looks great! I wish it was longer and expanded on the mechanics a bit more but it was overall a pretty fun puzzle experience.
thanks!
very good game.
i like the art in the game even the itch io page too.
Thank you!
Very well made game, cool use of the teleportation mechanic. To be honest, I stumbled through the levels a bit, but I have trouble keeping track of where I am in 3D anyway and I can definitely see that you tried to make the levels as clear as possible. The visuals, the sounds, UI etc. are really well made within the constraints. Overall very enjoyable!
Thanks a lot!!
Great job! the mechanics and gameplay felt really good but I was most impressed with how readable the environment was. A lot of the 3d games in this jam were really disorienting, but the textures you used made it super clear where you were going and how fast you were moving at all times. Also text was done really well in this one.
thank you so much! Readability was a huge focus for me and I’m glad that it worked out!
Great game, overall quality is very high… the end is quite odd, I must agree with other comments that there’s no way to fully understand what’s going on there. Levels are well designed though maybe a bit simplistic in challenge (mostly the same puzzle: press the button and teleport to the other end of the barrier). Anyway very fun to play and the teleporting mechanics are put to a very good use in-game! Congratz!
This game was so good! I particularly enjoyed the fact that you don’t really tell us anything about what the goal is, leaving us to our own exploration, but it’s still pretty guided.
Nice music too, but it would have been nice to have even more songs!
All in all, a very strong entry!
thank you, I’m glad you liked it!!
Also on the music; there actually is an unused track that was made for a fighting level! But that was scrapped due to time limits. I do want to possibly add it back after the jam, though!
Ridiculously polished, especially in the UI graphics, really nice stuff. The whole visual style was very nice, the main mechanic worked well. I didn't really understand what happened at the end but great game! Amazing what you've managed to fit into such a small space, but keep everything very readable.
Thank you so much, that means a lot! I'm really happy to hear that, I spent a lot of time making sure that things were readable in the game, while feeling smooth to play, and I'm glad it seems to have paid off in the end!
I also agree with the 'not understanding what happened.' bit, the ending was indeed pretty rushed, as I had focused on the mechanics and visuals for most of the jam and had to slot something in, but I'm glad that it still works for the most part!
Please make HTML 5 version
that’s a bit hard because I’m using Godot and this is a first person game. For some reason the mouse cursor doesn’t lock right when running in HTML, making the game essentially unplayable- (I tried uploading an HTML version at first.)
but I can assure you the game doesn’t have any viruses, other people have downloaded it. I just enjoy making games and I don’t want to harm anyone’s computer, but I get your cautiousness.
that's totally understandable. Sorry if what I said came out rude it's just I have installed viruses from itch.io before so I'm very cautious now. :)
It's no problem, I understand!
So, after researching it, there's now an HTML version! I had to embed the Gotm version of the game into the itch page but it works now. (Plus it has faster loading times and optimization, than if I just uploaded it straight to itch!)
Amazing!
