Did you work in a team?
just me
Was the resolution a challenge?
for some reason, I wanted to have a dialogue system in this 64x64 game. I got a small pixel font, but there was still a major limit on how many characters could fit in a single line of text. I noticed the optional theme "False Reality" and got the idea to make the game take place in a bizarre alternate world, and write a bunch of dialogue that was just short and somewhat nonsensical.
What did you learn?
I did a lot more spritework here than I have for other jams, and experimented with a dialogue plugin for the engine I use

Love the different creatures! I included it in my LowRezJam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Atmosphere, that's what you've created in this game. Music goes well with the art style, the characters are unusual yet seem familiar. Nice job.
Nice character graphics. Is there something wrong with diagonal movement, it seems to judder badly?
Love the music. Love the characters!
Obviously as you mentioned this could do more on the gameplay side, but you've done a solid job of explaining how to control the character and overall making it a calm world I want to be a part of. Not many can do that.
this was a neat little experience, some crunchier gameplay would have really made this a stand out pick. I liked the music, character design, and atmosphere!
Love the character's designs
Came back, replayed, still enjoyed. The monster designs are just *chef's kiss*.
Oh I adore the little characters very much.
Love the character designs so much (and did you use Dialogic? I've been meaning to give that a try!) but the game froze when talking to the, ah, *spaghetti eye monster*.
yes, I used Dialogic
not sure what could have caused a crash there specifically
I ran through twice more to confirm, and it freezes every time. Not a hard crash, just unable to move and no dialogue pops up.
It's working perfectly fine for me, tested in both Firefox and Chrome.
Popped over to Chrome and it works there! For some reason my Firefox just doesn't want to play nicely with it. Weird. Sorry for the false-ish alarm, haha.
