Engaging eerie game. Great Job.

Developer

Thank you so much!

worked fine for me on Linux Firefox. nice game, even tho those games are not for me

Developer

Oh, thank you so much. The technical confirmations make me very happy. I'm never 100% sure anything works on different platforms.

Really cool game! At first I thought it's really easy, but those sneaky ghosts surprised me in the end :D

Developer

Thank you for the kind review. The ghosts are very, very sneaky.

Can't play:((( on Mac. Looks awesome! Based on comments I'd say well done in every field! lol

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words. I tried everything to get it working on Mac, but the issue seems to be that MacOS doesn't have the ability to render OpenGL. Or, at least, Godot 4 HTML5 exports aren't compatible. I dunno, I've been researching all day and it seems near impossible to get it to work on Mac. My apologies.

lol dude it's definitely all good! I have a Mac and I never blame anyone for not even bothering with how annoying it is, haha. Even I hate it sometimes. If only it weren't such reliable hardware I would never use it lol

I really enjoy the atmosphere in this game. Especially the background music and the graphics. The ghosts look amazing.

I don’t think this is too difficult but I didn’t play for very long. I mostly used the camera to remove ghosts but at some point this keeps getting repetitive.

(By the way, this game works also in Firefox and I use Linux.)

Developer

Thank you for the kind feedback! I wanted to create a sense of impending doom with the camera while you search for a way out. I admit, the mechanic is a little cheap. I originally wanted to add film so you had to to budget your crawling and camera use, but jam time ran out... Also, thank you for confirming it works for Firefox on Linux!

Cool little horror game! The limited viewport really adds to the tension. Looks and sounds great. A map would have helped me out, the mansion is big!

Developer

Thank you for playing it! I appreciate the kind feedback. Others seemed to have trouble finding their way out, so I posted a map in the comments below to help out. The mansion is much larger than I originally anticipated.

so hard

Developer

Is it too annoying that it always starts you back at the beginning? Or is there a particular part that was too tough? I've played it so many times, I'm incapable of understanding its difficulty at this point. I quite enjoyed Tera as well! In any case, thank you for the feedback!

I can't find the way out T.T

Developer

Here's a shot of the game map.

1 - Start Point - Grab the camera right in front of you and right click when the monster gets too close to banish it.

2 - Get the yellow key.

3 - Go in the Yellow Door Room and get the black key.

4 - Play the piano and get the blue key.

5 - Go in the Blue Door Room and use the switch.

6 - Exit the stairs (you can't exit before the switch for, uhm, reasons...).

After you exit, you will be chased by a monster, so run to the right as fast as you can! Hope this helps.

Great Game. Poor Jack. Web version works on Linux.

Developer(+1)

ooooh, thank you so much for confirming that it works on Linux! I have no way to test it at the moment. I really appreciate your feedback, too. In Parallel is also a great game!

neat horror - Got the vibes of FNAF mini games a little. Intro scene in sync with music is dope! Had a little issue with sprite renderer of main character - when changing directions, the sprite sometimes was "freaking out". But overall, I liked the experience, even though only horrors I can play are action-survival horrors

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback. I'm not sure why the main character sprite does that. I'm completely new to Godot and I assume it's because I made a mistake somewhere. I'm just going to say my theme is glitch in the matrix and maybe everything will work out *shifty eyes*.

Unable to play game given that it’s a windows exe :-(

Developer

I assume you're playing on Mac or Linux? I'm only able to build and test games for Windows at the moment. I'll look into Mac and Linux based gaming for future projects. Thanks for the feedback!

Developer

It actually wasn't that hard to export the game for web. Thanks to your comment I can do it now!

A pretty atmospheric tense game. With the intro theme and title drop you definitely nailed the presentation.

Developer

Thanks for playing! The music and title were the first parts that I made and they really helped me set the tone for the rest of the game. I appreciate the kind feedback!

This is a cool little game! The graphics and audio design are great.

Thank you for your feedback!

Great atmosphere between the audio and visual design! I had fun with it (I think I got the final ending), and I liked how you had the option between running and crawling, but in the end I just ended up sprinting everywhere. The only minor issue I noticed was that clicking to dismiss text boxes/notes would also trigger crawling mode.

Developer

I also sprint thru the whole game. I think it increases the thrill. The crawling after notes was a hotfix because I didn’t want the monster to get you right after closing a note. Well noticed! Thank you for playing!

Damn, this Audio Design!

Developer

Thank you!

Developer

This was fun. Thanks for the jam!
