Very polished!
Super impressive, well done :)
Really great submission. The music is so damn chill and at the same time fits the atmosphere. Reminded me of the old-school dungeon crawlers :-)
Edit:
Also what lowrez font did you use? It’s pretty damn nice.
Incredibly good game, very polished and complete-feeling. Well done!
Excellent game, I loved the mechanics and design.
I echo the Etrian Odyssey comparison from below. Really cool! Admittedly, a text-heavy RPG is a little tricky in this format - I might have forgiven you for using a 2x64x64 spread, kind of like a sideways DS. Looking forward to more crawling when I can return.
I’m a sucker for these kind of games. It’s a bit verbose for my liking, the small resolution makes long texts very hard to read.

Finally been able to play and I'm glad I was able to ! I didn't finish it because brutal game over, but that's by far the longests I've ever played on a jam gam. This was really really nice. Texts were a bit hard to read but hey, not much you could do here with such a small screen. Loved the dynamic between the 2 character. Amazing job
This reminds me on the time when I played Etrian Odyssey. I like the atmosphere in your game. Far my taste, encounters happen slightly too often.
Getting Wizardry vibes from this game. I love that I can still read the pixel text even through it's so tiny. Really fantastic job!
Bummer, I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but the game is just a black screen when it starts, both webgl and windows. I can hear the music and sounds if I try do to anything. Pause menu works, but that's it
Huh, that's not good. Sorry about that. Would you mind seeing for me if it prints out something in the developer console indicating some sort of error?
How can I launch the unity's dev console ? In any case too bad I can't play it right now, because on the computer I'm on at work, the webgl does the same thing, but the exe show me the intro text this time
In WebGL, the logs should be printed out to the browser's developer console. On Chrome and Firefox, the shortcut to open it is Ctrl+Shift+I. I'm wondering if there are any error logs in there (other than syncFS issues, which shouldn't affect the game).
Well I didn't know about using this console, so thanks a lot, I learnt something. I'm indeed getting an error, here it is:Champions of Shond.framework.js.gz:3 FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.at System.Number.ThrowOverflowOrFormatException (System.Boolean overflow, System.String overflowResourceKey) [0x00000] in <00000000000000000000000000000000>:0
Maybe something to do with a french windows ?
Oh, that's very interesting. Sounds like it could be a localization issue with the scripting language I'm using (the , vs . as decimal separator difference). Thank you for looking into it!
I would totally assume this is the case, we broke a full software like that not too long ago here at work and this was the culprit the devs found :) And indeed my comp here is set as some sort of hybrid, which would lead to the exe working and not the webgl, while none do on my home computer. No worries, happy to if it can help for later projects :)
Much appreciated! That did end up being the issue. It should work now, if you want to give it a go.
Confirmed ! The webgl version now works, I'll try it for sure tonight when I'm back home :)
I love the gameplay, dungeon crawler RPGs are my favorite!. The manual was a very charming idea and helped a lot to understand the mechanics. I wanted to make my own, but clearly it takes a lot of work! This is a very cohesive and complete entry, nice job!
Thank you! Playing yours, I'd say it definitely felt similar in scope, so I think you could pull it off!
