How does your game fit the theme?
You play as a "blowfish man" who can take a deep breath, inflate, fly away using his breath, and blow away enemies and obstacles. The story revolves around when fish first walked onto land and took their first breaths of air as well.

This was an awesome experience. Props to the artist, did a wonderful job with the art style and aesthetic appeal. The gameplay was also quite tight and easy to hop into at any time, not to mention the music. 100% worth being a part of my playlist!
In terms of issues, the only thing that ticked me off a little was the fact that if you make a mistake in solving the puzzles, there's a strong chance of getting stuck. That's what i encountered twice in level 3, the windmill stage. It would have been nice to have a restart from last checkpoint button in the menu instead of quitting to the main menu, opening level 3 again and starting from the very beginning.
But, that still didn't dampen the experience, it was a tad tedious, but the fact that i was still really eager to see the game all the way to the end says a lot.
So, give yourselves a huge pat on the back, you made a really awesome game and I can totally seeing this sail to greater heights in the future! 😁
This was awesoooome!
Great game, felt really polished. The cute little animation on the character when jumping was superb.
All of the levels were interesting and fun to play through, maybe felt a bit too slow though.
While I did like the mechanics a lot, they were great for platforming/puzzles, I would like a bit more freedom and difficulty. For example, moving in "big fish" form was a bit too controllable in my opinion and could have been more fun (for me). But the mechanics were still great and fit the theme perfectly.
One thing I didn't like at all was the camera moving with the mouse cursor. It was like super aggressive and a bit disorienting.
But man, I could see this polished into a full game with more levels.
Brace yourselves, lad this is going to be a long one. I am going to write this as I play.
At the very first few seconds of the game, I was taken back to a OG Mario like feel. I don't know why but it felt very very nice. (what psychological tricks are you guys using? 🤨)
The next thing was the controls & mechanics. I found them super polished & really nice to be in the shoes of the character. I kept inflating/deflating just because it ticked a satisfying ick in my brain! 😂
Clever design of the sea urchins sticking with the sponges. - Just when i thought that was clever. I was introduced with the blow rock to hit enemy mechanic. Wowza that is super cool as well, Makes me (my character) feel super powerful & smart. The 'hitboxes' of the spikes are forgiving which makes the experience pleasant & not frustrating. The deeper you are in water & further you jump out of it a great attention to detail (also that you have to use this mechanic to get through the levels) Also noticed that sea urchins open & close eyes are you move closer/further away. Platform physics are top notch. Moving Mouse Moves the map accordingly as well. Each level has some new gameplay element which I found immensely interesting & fresh. (Who the hell did you have in your team that pays such close attention to detail??? )
I really really like how there is no pressure to 'breathe' you can just deflate & blow to precision as you wish which for someone like me struggled in a-lot of the games that I've been playing.
Another issue that I've been facing is user-onboarding & teaching the controls when someone first jumps in your game. You have done that very well considering I was able to fully grasp the controls & get used to it.
In the end, I unfortunately couldn't finish the game because of my short attention span (that really shouldn't say anything about your game). It was an extremely fun experience.
Very nice game! Feels very polished! I only got a bit confused with the controls and found it hard to manouver when blown up but with a bit of exercise I got the hang of it!
Incredible game! Great implementation of the theme! The art and music are wonderful and I especially liked the urchin and sponge interaction. The puzzle are well thought out and engaging and the controls fell tight and responsive. Great work!
Awesome game! Really fun and simple mechanic that was pushed really well. You managed to squeeze so many fun gameplay ideas out of it. Amazing work :)
