Ranked from 7 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the Magical Girl genre?
Pandorothy, the heroine is the embodiment of all good things in the world. As such, she can use spells that draw from the elements of the earth. Alongside her enhanced strength and speed that allow her to fight against the evils. (the enemies of the game)

Which theme(s) do you pick?
PANDORA PARADOXXX

How does your game fit those theme(s)?
Pandora's box is an important element of the story as the main reason why the heroine and her enemies exist. At the end, she ends up causing a time paradox by travelling in time to stop herself from opening that box but since her future doesn't exist then she shouldn't exist either..

If you follow any of the optional challenges, elaborate as you like.
The final boss and main objective of the game is a "time machine" that looks like a washing machine. She needs to find it in order to go back in time and prevent Pandora's box from being opened.

Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
I mainly did the sprites and music myself but I did pull some sound effects from the internet. I use RPGmaker so a lot of assets belong to them too.

Liked the writing. Interesting use of rpg maker for an action game. Liked the way you used rpg elements like spell casts. Didn't like missing attacks so much, feels wrong in an action game. Couldn't find a way to restore mana. The maps were quite large and hard to find direction in. Sound effects were satisfying but spammed a bit much especially when many projectile enemies were present. Liked the enemy art and relative amount of enemy variety.

Another RPG Maker action game, sheesh

Hooked me up a lot! Also, I'm about to sleep, so idk what else to say :mggj_angelica_sweat:

Interesting adventure! I managed to finish it with 21196 points ¦3

The story and characters are entertaining. Art is simple but easily readable.

The music is great, perfectly fits the style! There were a couple of places with many eyes, and their sounds combined were very funky.

Character control felt a bit weird (including the P-bombs collisions mentioned in other comments), and the skills are not very well balanced (but maybe there are some enemies with weaknesses that I didn't explore deep enough).

I didn't quite get the idea behind letting the Game Over to restore you fully everywhere but in the last fight, but I guess it is just some technical limitation.

All in all, it was fun to complete, good job making all that in RPG Maker!

Excellent work!  It's really cool to see a game like this made in RPG Maker!  I love the character designs as well!

A game made with a modified RPG Maker to make an action game instead of a turn based. The sprites need some polish, but the game play is very good.

Also, I stuck with the black magic box. I already have the P-Bomb, but I don't know how to use it to advance. I select the item and press C close of a block, but nothing happened.

When you're too close to the evil black smileys (that's what they're called lol), you have to not get right in front of it since the bomb has its own collision.  Try to have at least one full tile between you and the obstacle so that the bomb can be placed.

Well, that isn't very intuitive.

A game made in MZ? It's always nice to see other people make something unique in RPG Maker.  The art style is cute and the last boss is amazing! Music also good, it really fits to the theme of the game.

On the not so bright side, there is a segment where the SE pan over to my left earphone but I don't know if the problem is on my end.

Overall, this is a good entry. Nice job!

Thank you for playing the game! I'd like to know where that segment is, I'm sorry for the inconvenience if it's a problem with the game.

It's the first time you enter the cave, where the eye-shaped monster is shooting red heart-shaped bullet.  I also played the browser version.

Wow, this was made in RPG maker? I'm always impressed when I see someone using an engine outside of the standard expectations. The original art and music is all really nice. I'm a fan of action RPGs so I really like this concept! It's pretty fun to play, but I'm glad that the "Game over" is pretty forgiving as it's quite hard. The combat is a little rough sometimes, but it's still very impressive considering the engine!

The one thing that drove me nuts was the P-bomb. I had a really hard time placing those, and though I eventually got the hang of it, there were still times when it felt like there were open tiles, but the game kept telling me no.

Overall I had a great time playing, awesome work!

Thanks for playing! Yes, it's pretty tough.  Sorry about the P-Bombs,  it's a collision thing. I struggled to figure out.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it, very much appreciated.

This was made in RPG Maker? :O

I didn't know an ARPG could be made in it, though it does make sense with it being a whole RPG engine. XD

Very intuitive!

Was digging the vibe of the game, it gave me Shining Soul II (GBA) vibes!

And the game is much bigger than it looks, was getting lost in the large cave with all those monsters.

Also, a big fan of punny names "Pandorothy" is great! XD

Good job on making this game!
