...WTH did I just play...? :')
I am not a fan of shota but I will try to judge this as objectively as I can ROFL
Art is absolutely awesome, I love the artstyle very much. The story is... perhaps would be enjoyable to fans of the genre; tho it seems to me the 'magical' part is only relevant at the beginning (I didn't play till the end because there are still other games to rate sorry). The writing style I think have a ton of unnecessary stuffs that can be trimmed imho. Overall I can see the effort put into this.
Thanks for participating!
For the story, I did consider writing a deeper plot for the magical part, but I realized it would be better to test the idea first with a small project. I'm glad I did. It's clear now the lack of writing skill is noticeable enough for players to mention it. So that's probably where I'm going to focus my learning for a while. I'm glad you like the art style though. I honestly didn't expect to get a high rating in any category, but the aesthetic is very well-received.
It was fun.
Thank you for the review and for hosting the game jam.
Cute VN, love the portraits. The story is maybe a bit safe/predictable, but it gave me a warm feeling. As for the ending, "<You have reached an ending>" is a bit too vague, don't you think?
I'm glad you like the portraits. I'll consider practicing plot twists for future stories.
And true, something more descriptive would probably be better there.
Thank you for playing and leaving a review.
I like the art, the music. The writing is good, a bit repetitive or lenght in some parts like other person said. I still don't mind it be too sweet or something like that. Just entertaining and it got me focused. It is just cute. There's a good concept you could develop on.
I'll follow you to see how do you evolve. Keep on doing it!
Edit: I forgot to mention that it was the first game that dragged my attention. The colors or something, not sure why but I've finally had time to play it.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback and for taking the time to play! I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed the art, music and overall concept of the game.
I appreciate you noting where the writing could be tightened up in some areas - repetition and pacing seems to be the thing I unconsciously did often. At the same time, by telling me how the sweet tone doesn't bother you as much overall, you helped me narrow down where I should improve even further.
And I'm happy to hear you are looking forward to my growth. Knowing people are interested in what I do next is great motivation. Please feel free to provide any other thoughts or suggestions in the future too - it all helps me make even better games.
Yes, I can relate to that. Sometime it's difficult to identify what actually grabs my attention too when I'm surfing the web, even harder to identify it in others. Grabbing attention like this is probably what every successful content creators had to figure out in the beginning.
Thank you again for the feedback and support! Feedback like yours really helps me improve as a creator.
the art is great and the music was very nice... Overall it was a bit too sugar sweet / repetitive for my taste, clearly all the elements for a good VN are there, but hopefully something more interesting story wise to make it shine.
That's a good point.
If not for your reviews and feedbacks, I might continue to improve other things instead (device optimization, visuals, etc.).
So thank you for playing the game and leaving a comment here. I'll try to do better in the future :)
The vibe was very cute. I wish there was more engagement in the game to break up the story. Great work though.
You're right.
I'll try to implement more interactive choices from here on.
Thank you for the comment :)
Good luck! I'll be waiting for the next one haha
Thank you!
Currently developing the next one and the first chapter is finished.
I was planning to upload it after several more chapters were finished, but you convinced me otherwise.
I'll upload it soon :)
So cute! The art and music were really appealing.
Thank you! I'm glad you think so.
