How does your game fit the Magical Girl Genre?
Marta is a reincarnated girl with the power to throw balls- erm summon magical orbs!

Which theme(s) do you pick?
This entire city must be purged.

How does your game fit those theme(s)?
The scope I had originally encompassed an entire town with different environments, but I ended up only having one. Still all the ghosts in the area must be defeated, that much I followed through on.

Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
All visual assets were original to this project. Most sound effects were mishmashes using stuff from libraries I own and have license to use. Likewise for the music, though the songs were kept mostly intact except for some tweaks to the loops. I also utilized an open source dialog tool to expedite the content creation process.

Perfect score from me. This is awesome. I especially love the pixel art. Thanks for your participation d(&o&

Aw shucks I'm glad you liked it 😄

Thank you for hosting such a fun jam!

Really nice, polished platformer. The art was charming and well done, both the portraits and the pixel art. It was short, but hey, it's a jam! I actually appreciated the length, as my time has been really tight the past month. I could see this being expanded into a full game!

Thanks! It was really fun to make. And, I'm glad the duration wasn't too long. I prefer shorter games too for the same reason.

This game is really polished! you could make a proper commercial game if this quality of polish persists and the game is longer!

Good job!

this is the game that made me give a shot with Godot btw.

Developer

Thank you! I may come back to the concept sometime, but there's always something new to make *shrugs*

Godot is a really nice engine, especially when it comes to production speed and independence from companies. I hope you've been enjoying your time with it!

This is well made, a bit short... the 1 ball mechanic starts grating by the end of that level though...

Agreed, more mechanics would have been very nice. Sadly, my time ran out due to this being a largely solo project,
That said, I do intend to try exploring varied mechanics in future jams.

Thanks for playing.

What's this? An extremely polished game in MGGJ? Unbelievable.

I was pretty sceptical towards the aiming mechanic, but you made it work. There's not much content, just a few minutes of dialogue and levels, but it feels well thought out. Maybe you should add a few more levels? It could turn out really nice

Developer

More levels are on the table for sure. It's just a matter of making them interesting...

Thanks for playing!

This game is incredibly polished I was actually sad there wasn't more to play great job!

Developer

Thanks so much! Polish was a trade for fewer mechanics and content 😅. Glad you enjoyed what was there though!

This game is insanely polished, it felt like playing a finished game. There's so many small things like slowing down fall speed when you aim in the air that make it way better to play for the player. And the art is amazing.

Out of interest I tried my xbox one controller and was surprised that this game actually does support controller, which is how I played through the game. It would be great if you listed those controls on the itch page too, so more people can play it this way.

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad the effort showed!

Listing controller inputs is a good idea. I'll have to add that to the game page soon.

The game is made with high quality. The visual is gorgeous. The mechanics work well together.
