This game looks amazing, polished graphics, effects and audio, but the gameplay itself needs some work. The attack is far too slow to feel usable to me, I really desired a quick, Hollow Knight-esque attack, and perhaps the slow attack as a stronger alternative (or something like holding down the attack button to charge the slow, strong attack). Dying from a single hit also felt too harsh. Overall though, a solid first prototype.

We will definitely do a lot of work on the attack system if we come back to this project. Thank you so much for the feedback. It definitely gives us some direction for what to do with our attack system. We did hope that the instant dash attack that has a cool-down would be enough but that didn’t seem to work.
the artstyle is great here! i’m not so much a fan of the slow, heavy, uncancelable attack, but i can see that being a design choice. the second boss is by far the hardest tho because of it, as if you are close enough to deal damage then you can start an attack before they have indicated anything, and then find the indication and your inevitable death coming before you’ve finished your attack. the player needs time to react! the final boss was super cheesable, by just standing atop the little guys where nothing can touch you
Thank you so much for giving such detailed feedback! The heavy uncancelable attack kind of appeared as we worked on it, but I should’ve given that more thought. Yeah, I really should have given the second boos more thought too. I though that dashing to that boss might solve the issue but it appears not. Also that is hilarious what you did there with he third. Great job outsmarting the game. Playing it after reading this I realized you can even get the minions to attack the boss with you! Oops. Well, I guess it adds strategy? Again, thank you for all of his feedback and pointing that all out. We will definitely keep that in mind and fix those issues if we continue to develop it. I liked the arts, music, and attack script from the boss. I think the game would benefit a little more return (I don't know when I dealt damage to the boss or minions). It also makes it pretty hard that you die on first it ^^ It's a great start though!
I like the art style and boss designs , I just think we don't have enough polish , but after that … great job
I love the art of your game, the atmosphere and concept are really incredible.
I really enjoyed playing it, even though I found it hard to play. I spent a lot of time trying to understand the mechanics and the signals that enemies make to know when and how they're going to attack.
But overall it's a really good game.
I love the art, and the concept works, but I feel the only issue it has is feedback to the player. The game doesn't really tell you when enemies are gonna attack, if you're doing damage, or when something is going to die.
You don't really need to know when things die, that one is optional, but I wasn't even sure if I was doing damage half the time. Then enemies will just attack, without too much of a signal that they are gonna do something specific.
Those are my nitpicks, but in general, the game really does look nice :)
Yes agreed, thank you for your feedback. We wanted to add a shaking effect when the bosses were hurt but we ran out of time. We will definitely look into adding a lot more feedback, especially to the mini-enemies if we continue to develop the game! Thank you for pointing that out! The art is just absolutely amazing in this! Looks really good! I'm not used to soulslikes so I really struggled with the gameplay - but I think that means it's faithful!
Yep nyranami and drakonzx, made some beautiful stuff! Thank you for the feedback, I do believe the difficulty curve is a bit much. To be honest, I’m not used to soulslikes either so to help create this was definitely interesting and quite fun. I had to scrap a bunch of stuff because I thought it fit what we were doing but it turned out it didn’t. But if I didn’t scrap it would not have turned out like this so I’m very happy about it.
Wow. This game was extremely well polished! I do have one comment though. I felt like the hit button could be E instead of Space. It would make movement feel more fluid! This game looks and sounds amazing!!! GG! If you have time could you try my game?
This game looks amazing! Some of the bosses I didn't have any idea what to do until I tried different things. Otherwise I enjoyed this one!
