Pretty neat concept,

i like the idea of the drill gun that you have to charge, and i also like the boss behaviour in that it changes pattern depending where you try and go around it.

The spritework here is also really good, and i like the chibi portrait of the potato girl next to the lifebar that reacts real time when you get hit thats a neat detail.

To me the only real negative is that the boss takes so little damage from the drill gun, so it's really quite an endurance round to try and take it down, and i got real close but just couldn't :(

Other than that i had fun trying this one out, good job to you :)

Fantastic visuals!

I love to be a potato girl. This is really impressive for your first ever game! The menu animations are great. I had a little trouble at first noticing when the drill was charging but after that it was all good.

 Great work!

The idea of boarding the robot of a defeated enemy is great.

And I like the art, it's very cute.

It was a fun game!

The drill being charged needed a bigger visual cue. It took me awhile to even notice what appears to be a slight increase in the drill's shaking, and I never got the timing down right. This got even harder to track during the second phase.

I liked combat for the most part, only going under the mech felt unfair as there was no way to judge and avoid those clustered projectiles in time. Thankfully, I was able to beat the mech by never ever trying to pass under it.

The potatoes were a little confusing. In my first few tries I kept trying to pick them up and assumed them to be connected to health or another character attribute. Thankfully, they're easy enough to tune out amongst the flying projectiles. The art overall is very well done.

Very good job!

It was tricky, but it was a nice game! I like that it was a bit on the difficult side. Good stuff for your first game ever!

Only real complaint is that figuring out the timing for the drill is a little wonky. Maybe adding a sound to signal when you're fully charged would help.

Good stuff, I had a fun time.

Felt compelled to doodle the potato girl cuz she's cute.

Consider this fan art!

Can't be played through itch io app on windows, that's a shame.

Very difficult but fun game! had a lot of stress with how the bot attacks as can be super brutal
still love the art style and the vibe of the game !! great job

Fun game, pretty difficult too, bot rarely feels unfair (That cluster cube attack is brutal, and the end of the health bar gets really bullet hell-y, which the movement isn't built for, but nothing egrigious like the projectiles just magically becoming more deadly)

A bit more visual feedback would be nice though espececially because I never figured out what W/S/E do. But I absolutely love the art style

But really overall, good game :3
