Your writing skills are pretty amazing. I enjoyed the story from start to finish. You can represent it like a manga or visual novel in the game. With mini games in between.

Great to have a text adventure entry and nice use of a secondary theme!

Really like the theme of the story and the way you regularly branched off some choices.

The concept of giant robots made to tear down storms sounds so cool :D

even if the idea of storms becoming so violent that it would require such concept also sounds terrifying O_o

But then again the story got me hooked, gets me curious as to what more stories could be told with that setting.

Well done :)

Thanks!  I certainly would like to do more with this settings, especially since I had to cut/rush so much to finish this game.

Cool that you plan on doing more with this :)

and i totally get the cut/rush cause time can fly by really fast for jams and it's always hard to decide what to keep or not.

A very nicely written story!

Very creative story! The whole aspect of using mech's to fight off hurricanes really touched me, I live in Puerto Rico and we live in constant fear of hurricanes every year, so this hit home really hard. I couldn't imagine the fear of fighting such a colossal force. Great pacing and story, is something I would like to see with visuals and original art and music, I think it would make a great VN.

I've been caught in a couple of hurricanes myself.  One time we were staying at my grandma's rickety old house during one.  I opened the door early one morning to let the dogs out into the yard, only to realize there was no yard.  Just water.  Thankfully, the floods didn't get any higher or into the house.  But it's a memory that has really stuck with me.  That - combined with recurring hurricane nightmares - is what inspired me to go with the "natural disaster" theme.  I'm glad it's been a relatable concept, despite the outlandish mech angle.  xD

Man that sounds terrifying! Yeah hurricanes are so crazy and unpredictable! To this day I still remember the most memorable ones in striking awe and fear! Thanks for the read it was really cool!

Loved it. The fleshing out of the main character's thoughts and their descriptive surroundings was really satisfying. Also seems we took similar thematic approaches to this jam...

I love story games! Well done. This one was interesting and very unique. I did notice a few verb tense consistency issues. If you revise it, you could fix those.
Overall, nice storytelling. :)

Developer

I thought I fixed all the verb tenses.  ^^;  Usually I'm consistent with that, but this past week I was struggling with that with pretty much everything I wrote (not just this game).  When I have some downtime, I'll touch that up.  Sorry about that.

No worries! I was just letting you know in case you did another revision. :) It didn't hamper my enjoyment of the story.

Fun story to choose your own adventure through. I saw that there was some highlighting of certain decisions, but couldn't officially discern what the highlighting meant (red = bad or aggressive or negative score or evil karma for example).

Even a summary of the types of choices that I typically made along the way (X number blue choices, Y number red choices for example) would have made me think a little bit about what caused me to make those choices along the way and get a bit of self-reflection out of the experience in addition to the story itself.

Enjoyed the story/world in this :) like a mix of Evangelion and all those CGI natural disaster movies.

Only real crit would be some choices seem like the favourable option is pretty clear? Compared to some mech-themed IF & VNs I've played that threw some surprising curveballs along the way. Or I just need to replay it taking some other options

Developer

I felt like I was running out of time, so I certainly do feel like there's a lack of "curveballs."  I also had to cut out a lot of stuff I wanted, like gender options and nightmares and a bonding mechanic for Coda.  But I got mech frames in, that's what I absolutely wanted.  xD  And I'm happy with the lore, glad people are liking it too.  ^^
