This is very visually striking. Controls are difficult to get used to but I thought the abilities to freeze in mid-jump and build platforms are interesting gameplay mechanics.

Some nice ideas and it is easy pretty metroidvania like but to be honest you need to work on graphics, gameplay and also how you present your work here. By the way, i couldn't get the square making me platforms. But I think leveldesign is your strong side.

Thx for the feedback, I really did almost everything in the last minute, I even forgot to put a sprite to the platform of the square so it's invisible (and only appears if you press down and then X).

the fact that there's no sound is a bummer and even a few SFX from SFXR can make a diference

tip for walk animations, you can get away with a few frames

Super mario bros 2 does this and so does my game

also the text is blurry (beause godot defaut font) and a random free font from https://www.dafont.com/ goes a long way

and you could have made the power ups not dependant on a single key (also see how limited balan wonderworld is)

also i kinda feel like i should'of been able to teleport upwards

You're right I should care more about those details, they can add a lot of charm to a game(thx for the link).

Haven't played balan wonderworld, is it that bad?

As long as the circle isn't in a wall you should be able to telepor upwards...
