WOW!! Really cool entry! The art and animations are spectacular. Really enjoyed the hit and death animations of the characters. So cool. I will be really excited to see where you take it. Has a very neat feel that feels a lot like Castlevania 2 and Steamworld. Great job!!
Obviously the art is great. Interesting idea to have a metroidvania in such an active environment, definitely allows for more naturally placed NPCs.
The pause when going from level to level looked polished but got tiring quickly.
The music, especially from the red area, really set the mood for the area.
Entertaining game, would be interesting to see more.
ART
Your art is really nice, really like the distortion effect in the orange area
SOUND
Loops where good, the mushroom zone audio was the worst for me.
GAMEPLAY
I didn't really understand what I was meant to do I found a people of people out in the wild and talked to everyone but still only found hint at things I could not find.
Jump felt great and the dash is fantastic! Combat was ok the left click attack felt useless compared to the right click (though I only found out I had a right lick by accident :))
The grapple was cool but I did not find a place I needed it compared to the dash (again your dash is super cool and felt great!).
Found a kind of game breaking issue with the right click attack where I could basically get stuck in walls then travel through them with the right click attack :)
OVERALL
Loved the aesthetic and the world building, great entry and good job on submitting!
It's awesome! It feels like y'all spent every moment working out ways to make the game more annoying then shoved it all into those flying things... Great job, I can't wait to see the finished product!
It looks and plays good, the art style is fantastic, and everything has personality, from enemies to NPCs!
This game shows a lot of attention to the small details, and it really pays off! However, the lack of SFX for almost everything really counters this attention to detail, as, for example, enemies that are about to attack will warn you visually but not via audio. An important part of the game is its SFX!
Nice game though, I really like its aesthetic and the efforts in making it look professional!
Overall, a pretty cool game with interesting music. I really liked the grappling hook mechanics. However, I did get lost quite a bit. The flying enemies also chased me into different rooms which was pesky. There weren't any sfx, just music. Other than sound, you did a good job visually of letting me know I've been hit or dealt damage to something. So I did get some feedback there.
Congrats on submitting your game!
Hello guys and gals!
First of all, I love the presentation - character movement feels great, especially swinging the mace-handbag thing. The writing is good, great use of word effects as well. There was some character talking about wasting their life sitting there and teaching people how to drop down - love it. The enemy and NPC designs are outstanding - very Deltarune.
In the build I played, there was no SFX or music - I am guessing this is one of those errors!
I also wasn't sure where to go - I felt like I explored everywhere - found the 'hungover' guy, but I couldn't reach anymore areas (did I need a double jump?) - otherwise had a fun time with it.
Also - all bosses are bad - all the time, so they deserve the torment. :D
Fantastic job!
Hey!
We just pushed out an update that should hopefully fix some of the issues you had, and added in the music
I'm really glad you enjoyed the characters and dialogue :D
Thanks for checking out our game!
